Nice leather steering wheel cover
Having installed similar style steering wheel covers in the past, I felt comfortable installing another despite the time commitment. The challenge with this style is that you must spend several hours stitching it together. The needles are strong, the thread durable, and the leather itself is of decent quality.Be aware that you will need decent light in the cabin of your truck or car in order to see where to thread the needle. Another thing to verify is the girth of the steering wheel in addition to the diameter. If you choose the wrong size, the cover will either overlap when you stitch or won't reach all the way around.I ordered the black vented version which comes with red thread. This worked well for my truck which is red and black. Looks great.Recommended.Disclosure: Vine reviewers are provided products in return for an anonymous and objective evaluation. Cover
I already knew how to install this so it was so easy. Takes time and patience. I replaced my old one I put on a while back. I love these. My steering wheel looks brand new again. Beautiful. I'm a happy driver!

Good and bad
Threading the cover is very tedious, if I had three or four hands, I might find the results rewarding as the listing mentioned. Preventing the loops from coming loose, while trying to thread the next loops was very frustrating. It took very little pressure for the presewn threads to rip through the cover. After three loops tore through, I gave up and removed the cover.Despite being an artificial leather, the short section that I managed to thread snuggly felts pretty good. Perhaps someone with more experience hand sewing, could yield tge rewarding results promised.

It is not possible to install correctly
installation impossible. This is a poorly design product. I suppose if you had a steering wheel that was just a circle that did not connect to the steering column, you would be fine. But that doesn’t exist due to the laws of physics. The steering wheel cover does not accommodate the attachment points of the circular wheel to the column.

Can look good with a little patience
This item is just as it describes. A pre-stitched leather strip that you then use the included needles and thread to hand stitch to your steering wheel. It is tedious, and maybe takes a bit of patience or experience to get to look almost factory good. Of course it's never going to be a professional job, but you can get close if you stick with it.

Multiple ways to see it together
When I got this my partner mentioned that there are multiple different ways of lacing it. They worked in the auto body trade, and seen a lot of variety of things. I looked up how it's commonly done, on Google and Pinterest. That definitely helped a lot! It changes the aesthetic of it dramatically. It didn't come with instructions but you don't really need them. After all the strings are tightened, tucked away and neatened up, It looked like a whole new wheel. My cut ring on my dominant hand ripped up the vinyl wheel, and is there a difference! It feels so much more enjoyable to drive my car again! I didn't realize how much it bothered me until it's fixed! Fix your wheel!

Not quick to install, but a nice upgrade
This took me about 3 hours to install, and I think you’re results will depend on how good of a job you do putting it on. I put it on my 2023 bolt with a 15” d shaped steering wheel. Some tools that didn’t come with it I found useful: scissors, curved needles, headlamp, and mirror. It comes with the right amount of thread, two blunt needles for threading it through existing holes, and a thimble ring.I’m pleased with the result for the amount the item costs, and prefer the end result over the slip on covers.
