Does it list an expiration date?

There is a stamp on the bottom. The one I got expires in 2021. I have only tried this product once and so far the results were not super, but there are really no instructions and I may have not used enough.

Is this more like active dry yeast or instant yeast?

It is in fact instant yeast - at least as that is defined in Europe, the UK and Australia, which is yeast that can be added directly to dry ingredients without pre-activating in water. Instructions in both English and Italian both say to mix it into the flour.

Pizza making class asks for beer yeast. Would this be the same?

“Beer yeast” is very non-specific. If you look up your local home brew supplier, they’ll probably have 10+ options. Not sure exactly what properties your instructor would be looking for. This Caputo yeast is excellent for making pizza, particularly if you are attempting a Neapolitan style, and will be allowing the dough to cold ferment in your fridge for a few days to develop better flavor.

Etwas zu viel für Privaten Gebrauch

Beste Trockenhefe für Pizzateig. Kann ich nur empfehlen. Leider etwas viel für den privaten Gebrauch, da ich mir kaum vorstellen kann sie aufzubrauchen nachdem sie erstmal geöffnet wurde und sie deshalb nicht mehr allzulange haltbar ist.
