RISAMINE Ointment RIS 4 ounces Pack of 10

At my house, we go through about a tube of this a week. We were using Calmoseptine and paying $7 a tube. When I came across this product, I thought we'd give it a try to save some money.The Risamine is not quite as thick as the Calmoseptine, but it still works great! And we have not noticed any difference in the way it works vs. the Calmoseptine. We use it for my son's diaper rash and around his stoma. I will continue to buy this product and recommend it as a less expensive substitute for Calmoseptine.

This is NOT a good substitute for Calmoseptine. Very thin consistency, does not adhere as well to skin. I bought 6 tubes, which I will use, but I am going back to Calmoseptine. Not enough difference in price to warrant the substitution.

I had always used Calmoseptine as diaper ointment for my son. I got Risamine from a pharmacy that began to substitute this for Calmoseptine. The active ingredients are the same but IT IS NOT THE SAME! The consistency is much thinner. A big part of what makes Calmoseptine so effective is how thick it is. This is thin, like any other diaper cream.
