Worked well for the job I needed it for
I was hesitant to but it, but happy I did. I had to ship 20 pallets of computers in boxes. Each pallet was 6' high or so and the total for the order was roughly $1.7M. I wrapped everything in pallet 'shrink' wrap, then ran 2 of these straps from top to bottom around the pallet. The metal clips worked well and held tight. The included tool was good to cut the strap, but I found it useless for tightening. I tightened everything by hand then, like other reviewers, I used a pair of vice grips to really pull down on the strap. I used my foot to hold the bottom of the strap against the pallet while pulling the 'tail' down with the vice grips. I checked the tension and it seemed good. When the forklift pulled the first pallet off the truck and tilted it back slightly, I had a quick moment of 'Oh Crap!' but the straps held great and were still tight when I cut them off at the receiving warehouse.Once quick tip; the clips come in a back that fits inside the top of the box and is accessible through a little flap in the box top. This seems like a great place to store them, and it was, but I didn't realize until nearly halfway through my pallets that the weight of the back was making the roll of strap much harder to pull out of the box than it needed to be. Once I got enough strap out that the bag caused it to jam and I had to remove the back, I realized that I should have just taken that back out in the first place. Sooo much easier. All in all, happy I spent the $40 on this pack and I'd do it again!

Affordable, easy to use, strong enough for pallets
OVERVIEW: This is a solid product, it does what is supposed to do. Super strong and easy to do. We originally got it to satisfy the post office’s requirement for sending bulk mail flats, but find it to be useful for all sorts of things – pallets especially. Shipping lighter items like flats of envelopes do not stretch the strapping, but pallets of books stretch them slightly after time. Easy to remedy, though, just retighten.STRAPPING: The strapping is super strong. Not the heaviest I've seen put it holds regardless of the weight of the flat or pallet.WIRE BUCKLES: They are strong and do not bend. Regardless of the amount of tension of the straps, they hold. There are plenty of them as well. They are reusable as well, if you are with whatever you are strapping both at the beginning and end. THere are tons of them included, so I can't picture running out before the strapping is gone.TENSION TOOL: I've never used it. I find it easier to tighten by hand for lightweight stuff and with a vice grip for heavier pallets.PACKAGE: The package design makes the product super easy to use. The strapping is coiled within, and easily comes out of the section on the side of the box designed for that purpose. When you pull on the strapping it simply comes out. The hole in the top is useful because it is a natural spot for the bag of wire buckles. There are simple instructions on the side of the package that make it easy for newbies to figure it out.

Worth the money. Do buy but don’t buy the stretching tool
Works pretty good. If your shipping multiple boxes and strapping them together, then you’ll want to use for straps. Anything less and the straps will get loose. Also don’t waste your money on buying the stretching tool or even using the manual stretching tool that’s provided. It’s pretty much pointless. Pulling the straps by hand Will get them plenty tight enough. After you look at through I tied a knot in the strap before trimming the excess off. The Knot will allow the strap to not back out of the buckle. Will get them plenty tight enough. After you loop it through I tied a knot in the strap before trimming the excess off. The knot will allow the strap to not back out of the buckle. Overall it’s worth the money. Are used the metal straps because that was the only listing that would be delivered in time. I would buy again

Exactly what I needed for packing several boxes for long distance shipment
It's SO affordable that I thought I had to try it - everything else was super expensive, and I needed some straps for a lot of boxes to ship long distance. Won't have to use it often, but needed it this one time for sure, and everything else was so expensive. Watched the video on youtube I think on how to use it, and it was absolutely EXCELLENT. The boxes are also taped up but I didn't trust the tape - now they have the straps on there too, and they look professionally packed. I love it. I got the plastic buckles, not sure how well they will stand up to long distance shipping, so I put a bit of tape over them as well, just to be sure - the metal ones worried me in case they snagged because they seem to be stand out a bit higher than the plastic - I am delighted with it. Easy to use, great tension tightener so that the straps were VERY tight - an excellent strapping option that won't break the bank.

Use gloves when pulling it or use the t shape cutter/puller.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. For $40, this is a deal.It saves me on expenses. I use less tape now which can be very expensive. By using this, it makes the package more secure.Using is very easy. Its just like tying a shoelace on a shoe. The strap is a little sharp, which is normal. Pls be careful in pulling it. Using gloves is the best, to avoid cutting/slicing your hand.Theres is a t shape cutter/puller that comes with it.3k feet of strap is long. Width of the strap is 1/2”.I definitely recommend this to everyone.

Poor instructions but straight forward
Does the job. I was a novice to this and found the instructions useless and extremely frustrating. The on-box drawn illustrations are ridiculously inadequate and ambiguous. You can't tell what angle you are even looking in several drawings. I understand photographs are more expensive to print than these graphics, but they would do well to redraw 3 of these graphics. I had to find a video to explain. I would recommend that PAC hire a graphic designer to hand draw some photos they should send them. Then other customers might find it easier to work with this product. Thank you. Once I got the hang of it - it was just easier to hand tighten and cut with scissors for my personal job, but I the tool works too. I would recommend this for non mission-critical uses. I bundled some wood and chose the cheaper plastic brackets. I wish they sold this in a cheaper short kit.

This definitely works great esp. if you are moving
This was a great purchase for the move I have ahead.Working with this strapping system is easy. I watched a YouTube video first though as I had absolutely no clue at the beginning how it works.I was also wondering to go for the metal buckles or plastic. Metal buckles may look sturdier but when I saw the video for the plastic ones, it was the aha moment! Did not have any experience with metal buckles but plastic ones are far easy to work with. All you need to do is to make the strap loop and then bent the plastic arms into the loop and tighten the straps. You can't bent a piece of metal in or out! So I assume you have to wrestle with the strap and swing it arround the metal arms. So go for plastic buckles. Check some videos on the web and you'll get an idea when I say plastic buckles are more convenient. Also I was able to recover the plastic buckles for at least one more useOh and a tensioner?! Such simple but super handy device!

Just kinda ok
Not really too impressed. The tightening tool is lame, as is the cutting feature. It takes 3 hands to do it and the end result is not a very tight bundle. Bought it to bundle kindling. Could not get it tight enough to keep the bundle from shifting or a stick or two falling out during normal handling.

Wrong Clips Sent
I ordered wire clips, got plastic....doubt these are going to work at -50 C (-58F).cant plastic wrap my boat this weekend now, and there is already snow. The strapping itself looks great though.
