This is an adorable, shapable, elf hat. It’s very tall (a full 3 feet fully extended) and there are just two wires inside so you can shape it. That’s great. The wires go the length of the hat, but they do NOT go “around” your head, like a headband. This makes it hard to balance, since the top-heavy hat wants to schlump to one side or the other, and you don’t have a wire around your head to help stabilize it. There’s nothing at the bottom for those wires to anchor into, so they just flop over.I think I’ll modify this with a wire coat hanger to work better. I can wear it (male), but not my wife or kids. But, for under $12 (at the time of this review), it’s probably still worth it, especially if you’re up to the task of modifying it a bit. I’m going to take off two stars, because the fit and top-heaviness is a bit frustrating without another wire around the head to stabilize so people with smaller (but still adult sized) heads can wear it too. 3 stars.

This hat brings back memories from childhood and I can't help but smile when I wear it! The quality is good, and it fits just fine (I am an adult with a 7 3/8 hat size). It has a nice pom pom, green and red stripes, jingle bells, the whole nine yards. The feature that I really like is that it has wires inside that let you shape it into a very cool curl! The material is nice and soft and slightly shimmery. All in all, the quality seems very high as well, and this looks like it will last many seasons if a moderate amount of care is taken with storage and handling. This will be great for parties, events, and general wear during the Holiday Season! I am very, very pleased with this beautiful hat!

The holidays are coming and I just had to get this Elf Hat, the red and green striped one, for a festive north pole train ride where everyone’s getting into the Christmas spirit. Picture a holiday adventure with Santa himself, and you’ll know why I wanted a hat that screams “fun and festive.” This hat seemed perfect—and let me tell you, it didn’t disappoint.First off, when I put it on, it was cozy enough to keep my head warm, which is a big plus for a winter outing. What I loved most is the quirky design. The hat has this long, bendable tail that runs from the bottom all the way to the tip, so you can shape it however you want—a little extra holiday flair that makes it stand out. It’s fun, and you can get creative with how you wear it, which I think is pretty cool.Now, the hat fits best if you have a bit of volume to your hair. Lucky for me, my big hair makes it sit snugly and stay put, but if you’ve got thinner hair, you might wish it came with some kind of clip or snap to secure it better. Without that, I could see how it might feel a bit wobbly, especially if you’re turning your head or moving around a lot.I can’t wait to rock this hat on my trip. It’s comfy, festive, and adds that playful touch that’ll make the train ride even more magical. It’s one of those pieces that’ll definitely turn heads and spread some holiday cheer.

This hat comes flat and folded in 4ths. There's 2 wires that go up on each side. The part that sits on your head has a lining that keeps it from coming down too far if you have a small head. However, it also means you'll have to cut it open to fill the top with something to give it volume so you get that rounded shape. The good thing is you can bend it any way you want. It's a good base to work with and a good idea, just will need a little more finishing to get it to look line the product photo.

So many ways you can shape this for your own unique Elf look. Its got strong wire in both sides that allow you to roll it like shown, spiral it, put it straight upright or whatever curvy, swervy design your holly jolly mind envisions. Comfortable and hits snuggly enough on my head not to topple off if it's curled to the side like that with the weight shifted.
