Total junk!
Reels do not have a center hole in them. Total junk, look elsewhere.

These kids are alright
Great to have spare take-up reels. They are not stellar reels, but they'll do. Back in the 70's when I spent every day for two years with a Teac A-3340S I used Maxell Tape reels that had the easiest threading ever - A slot on the side of the reel, extending into the center hub so you just slip the leader through that and out the middle of the hub where you just hold on to it for a couple turns and you're done. These have that awkward business of trying to hold the tape against the hub without it slipping away on you - maybe there's a technique - I never have figured it out. The reel walls are also not as good as the Maxell reels I STILL have from the 70's - they are more wobbly - but not unusable. They're OK and I will be making use of these.

Quality and Budget Friendly
The media could not be loaded. When it coms to audio reels, especially the budget-friendly options, I look for two things. First, that the spindle holes are the right size: Not so tight it's hard to get them on the spindle; not so loose they get sloppy. Second, and most importantly to me, I want reels with straight flanges (sides) so they're not rubbing against my player creating a scraping sound or warble. These reels pass both of my tests and were exactly what I was hoping for. They're not super fancy, but the black is nice, and the plastic doesn't seem like it's brittle as I've seen with some of the clear plastic varieties. If you're going for plastic reels, these aren't a bad way to go at all. No complaints.
