Coffee Maker

This is a really great single serve coffee maker! It heats up and brews very quickly, with no paper filters needed (so no fussing around in the AM). The brush metal finish on the travel mug makes it easy to grip. It's neat looking and brews excellent coffee!

I bought the Sparkin Pro based mostly on the reviews. I wanted a single serve that could easily travel with me as I have lots of hotel time at times. I've used it at least once a day every day for about 6 weeks now and it hasn't failed yet and it's fast. It is very utilitarian, no clock, no timer, just a start button. Regarding the start button, beware. Once you push it there's no coming back unless you unplug it. But, when you plug it back in again it will immediately start cooking again. In other words, once the start button is pushed the machine must cycle through. Pushing the start button again does not stop brewing cycle, nor does unplugging it. Otherwise, add water, add coffee, push button. The other drawback is that the capacity is only 14oz. On the other hand, the stainless to-go mug is terrific save it could be at least 2oz bigger :). I didn't expect alot for the price but the Sparkin Pro has been worth the price.

Opened it up and ran some plain water through it to clean and test. Water came out very hot and I like the auto shut off. Tried first cup this morning, but after traveling with it for 75 mins the coffee is now luke warm and undrinkable. Lid also leaks in the closed position. Will see what my return options are. Update: Even though they advertise it as a 'travel' 'on the go' 'fits in the car holder' mug they contacted me and want me to give more stars because I'm supposed to know it won't keep coffee hot for a 75 minute commute. Fat chance. Have my return label printed. I specifically searched for 'travel' to filter out a 'kitchen' coffee maker.

When I first received it, and when it worked, I got good coffee. Mug would leave a coffee ring after finishing drinking the mug, and setting it on the counter. Now, it will not turn on. No click when I pres the button, and light does not come on. Aslo, does not work now.

I have had a little experience with single cup makers, so far none are perfect. This one looks nice. The coffee taste great. I like the shape of the filter for cleaning. The amount of coffee needed is reasonable. I don't like the metal insulated cup that was included. It has a scratchy finish, and leaves a metal flavor, as most do. No matter how careful I am about filling the reservoir, a few drops always seem to escape the small opening used for filling. After making a cup and opening the lid condensation always runs down the side and onto the counter. My issues with this maker are easily remedied by a wipe of the countertop, but I would have preferred that the designers had figured it out.

Love it! easy to use, easy to clean and fast brew, no messy paper filter. It did not take much space.

Love this product. Very convenient and easy to use and clean. I have been wanting to switch from kcups to drip coffee (better coffee and not so much landfill trash like with the kcup) and this is exactly what I was looking for plus it works great. I make a single cup of coffee everyday...pretty much like with a kcup machine with less waste and better flavor. I got fast answer from seller when I had a question. So far (I have used it around 5 times) I would definitely recomend this product.

So we just received this product in the mail about half hour ago. Bought it for my son, he’s the coffee drinker. He was so excited to use it so we cleaned it and ran it through the very first initial cycle (with water only) and when we took it out to pour the water out of the mug, there was a ring of what looks like rust forming. What the...?? Not sure if they’re burn spots or actual rust forming already barely after the first water only cycle. Kinda crazy & ridiculous.Other than that it seems like it will be a good little coffee maker. We shall see if we run into any other problems. Like I mentioned, we haven’t even made a cup of coffee yet. Fingers crossed.Packaging was good and came in good time. Decent price as well. Like that it’s compact and doesn’t take up a ton of counter space.
