Greenland Home Maui Embroidered Coastal Quilt and Pillow Sham Set, Twin/Twin XL (2-Piece), Blue

This is a fairly lightweight quilt, extremely pretty, and smooth and soft to the touch. It's reversible with both sides being exactly the same except one side doesn't have the brown part with the birds and starfish - it's entirely the blue design. Greenland's first two images in the ad show the respective sides - I didn't catch on to this until I'd received it. I did a little reading on cotton vs polyester quilts, and the article said cotton was cooler and more breathable, but would shrink slightly when washed. Polyester was cheaper, and had the edge on durability and being more wrinkle-free, but has a tendency to pill. For me, living in Florida decided it. I wanted coolness so I looked for a cotton quilt - this one is cotton except for 10% of the top part. And it's lightweight, it has about the same thickness as a pencil which I tried to show in the last picture. As for size, I have a queen size mattress and ordered a queen size quilt. The quilt hangs down about 15 inches on each side of the bed - I took a picture of each side of the bed so you could see this; bottom line, it's plenty big enough for me. Unless you want it to hit the floor I wouldn't suggest ordering up. I was slightly worried about the shrinking but it says in the product description that the quilt is prewashed and preshrunk, and it's of such high quality I have no reason to doubt that. It came well packaged and arrived in about 3 days. I have zero complaints. Thanks.

I really want to love this quilt. I love everything about it BUT, and this is a really big BUT, I do not like how much it shrunk on the sides. We are talking ALOT!!! I guess it’s still usable? I am just really unhappy with the look of it. I was considering getting another for my other bed, I love the look of it that much, I just don’t want something that is going to shrink up this much. ( and of course I followed directions! - I have a king-bought a king)

After the first wash my quilt pilled. I washed it on delicate and it was pilling before drying. I thought these would be soft cotton quilts but they feel like synthetic material mixed in, a little scratchy and heavier weight than I thought they would be. However they are a beautiful color and pattern and after the first disappointing wash they continue to wash and wear without fading or more pilling. I have a dog and a toddler and they don’t collect hair, stains come out easily and are hidden by the pattern. I am hoping that with lots of washes they soften and get thinner with age. I really wish these were 100% cotton and higher quality.

This is a beautiful quilt. King size is nice and big. Unfortunately, the quality is not there. So disappointed that we paid that much for something we could have gotten for $30 at a discount store given the quality. Immediately out of the package, broken threads and poor stitching jumped right out. Have owned it for a short time and have noticed pilling. Haven't washed it yet. I contacted Greenland 3 times. They only wanted to know what size and said oh well. Poor customer service.

The Greenland Home Maui Quilt Set I would heartily recommend toanyone searching for a fine quality bedspread of a beach type design.I am very pleased with the one I have. It is well made of beautiful andcolorful fabric, and fulfills all expectations according to its description.It is among the most beautiful of all the bedspreads I have owned!

King sizePro: It's prettyCons: This feels like a synthetic. If it is actually cotton (as described and indicated on the tag) it's the cheapest cotton quilt I've ever owned. In comparison, my last quilt was Donna Sharp. It lasted nearly 10 years and never showed signs of pilling and it was crisp but soft. This is scratchy and has substantial pilling after being laundered 4 times. I've clipped loose threads all over. The pillow shams are the worst both in design and fabric. The opening to insert pillows is in the MIDDLE of the sham. Inserting my queen size pillows stresses the edges so much they ripped. Note: I was trying to carefully insert them and they are SMALLER than the pillows they should hold. The fabric on the back of the shams is so thin they are practically see-through. I won't make this mistake again. I'm shocked it has such high ratings.

I bought the wave/seabird quilts and after I ordered, I decided to change to white quilts for my coastal BR. But I can’t give these up, they’re so nice! I decided to keep them for a change once in a while. I’m VERY fussy about quilts, they have to be well made and soft. These were both, nice workmanship and the colors are beautiful. Sometimes when those printed quilts come they much more garish in person than the photo, but these looked just like the photo. Very soft pretty colors. An added plus that made them look quality...you can’t see it in the pic, but the seabirds and starfish aren’t printed, they’re nicely embroidered! Makes the quilt look much more pricy. I’m putting them away for a change later, so I can’t speak for the washing part, I hope they wash well. I wouldn’t hesitate to but this brand again! Very pleased, especially for price

I love the bright colors on this quilt. True to colors in display breathable but has a little weight to it. This quilt could be used year round. In the cooler months a light cotton blanket under the quilt would be ideal. Warmer months it would be fine on its own. As you can see from the picture this quilt is generous in size. The bed frame in the picture is a queen with the mattress sitting on slats set to the highest level. You will love this beautiful quilt for its quality and soft beautiful colors and texture.

I really like the quilt, its going to go great in my bedroom when spring comes and I change my comforter over to my quilt. I haven't used it yet and I'm very excited to put it on my bed.

I thought it was a bit pricy for what it is but it's really cute and definitely what I was looking for.
