Metal structure reusable-- best perk of product.
Bought for my female chinchilla who is an avid chewer and somehow lost the bell on the previous one of these that held it together. I noticed she didn't really like the rounded vegetable shapes for chewing, but the design fits standard wooden hanging sticks, which I have used since purchasing this. Great for chinchillas!

A toy that is actually guinea pig friendly! This has a simple, yet efficient design.
I have been buying these for my guinea pigs for years and they hold up very well. The only reason I keep buying more is because I keep adding guinea pigs! This brand sells different wood block refills for this product. You can also find some other brands of wood block refills that would fit this just fine. I was initially concerned that the paint/dyes might harm my guinea pigs, but I have found that most of the packaging on this and the refills will tell you that they use safe dyes. I find it's nice to be able to swap out the little chew blocks/shapes when they get too worn or dirty and I like that they come off easily if you need to give your cage a wipedown. Sometimes my guinea pigs will ignore these for weeks only to start gnawing on them out of nowhere. They don't always use them consistently, but considering how well they keep, it's not an issue. I like that these do not take up too much space in their cages. This makes it easier to have them available when they want something extra to gnaw on. The only thing I don't really care for is the bell that is attached to the end of this toy, but that can be removed fairly easy. I would definitely recommend this as a "toy" for a guinea pig.

If you want to be frightened at how smart your pets are...
I have two pet fancy rats, and their interaction with this toy has caused me to believe that rats will soon take over the world. At first, they figured out that I will come over to their cage and interact with them (ie open the cage to take the toy out) if they rang the bell long enough to drive me crazy. Then I started to put food on it. I thought it would be a great way to hang veggies in their cage instead of putting it on the floor. You can unscrew the bottom with the bell, and pierce things like lettuce and carrots with the metal rod in the middle, and then put the bell/bottom back on so they can't immediately pull off the food. Make them work for it a little, I thought. After a week...THEY HAVE FIGURED OUT HOW TO UNSCREW THE BOTTOM. Not just pull it off, mind you. They grab the bell with their little mouths and work it in circles until it is unscrewed. I've watched them do this, and then casually pull off the food. Then they hide the bell/bottom so that you can't make them work for food again until you clean out the entire cage. I now make sure to face my computer away from them at all times, because I'm afraid they'll soon learn how to order their own treats and toys online.

Very useful!
I bought this for my to-be-adopted pet rats, as I want to make my own hanging toys, and I love it! The chews it comes with are a lot bigger than I excepted, which is nice. I may buy another one. I know the bell will drive me crazy later on, but it'll mean my ratties are having fun so it's worth keeping the bell!Soon after I opened it, I started to cut up a part of the box it came in into strips after removing all the tape, then cut those strips into ten roughly equal squares about the size of a ping pong ball. After that I unscrewed the bottom and slid the chews off. Then I put two squares, chew, two squares, chew... until I had all the chews back on, finished it off with another two, and screwed the bottom back on. I quite happy with the results and I know my rats will love it! Anyway so I really like how this item can hold anything you choose and can be used again and again, and would recommend it to anyone with small furry friends. :)

Good Quality For Price
Had a difficult time finding this so I am grateful to have these. The quality is there but beware if you have a smart parrot, they will find a way to undo everything on it, lol. I love the ease of adding daily fruit and can walk away. Instead of coming back to fruit thrown all over from a dish, they pick at the fruit and it lasts a bit longer. Will be buying more.

Small animal kabob chew
Small animal kabob chew great for your bunny for chewing & entertainment. When the chewy toys are gone, they are easy to replace by unscrewing the bottom and putting new ones on, easy-peesy!

My rabbit uses this as his butler bell
My rabbit loves this thing. I’m positive he loves it because it makes so much noise when he flings it over his head repeatedly and the bell rings. In fact, I know he uses it to get my attention! I purchased some extra pieces to place on the rod, as the few that it comes with don’t fill it up enough. Beware: If your bunny is rough with this toy, like mine is, the bell will spin off the end of the rod & then the whole thing will fall apart. The pieces are too big to be bunny choking hazards, however.

I like it, well made, versatile but my piggie hasn't even noticed it :(
I like the product, it appears to be well made, and I like that i can add or remove components to/from it. Unfortunately my guinea pig has not noticed it yet, she doesn't seem to be much of a chewer, which is actually a bad thing because they need to keep their teeth worn down. Going to try to put some veggie pieces on this and see if she notices it at all.Long story short, I like the product, but each piggy is different, so you won't know until you try it

All the tops were stuck so couldn't attatch them to the cage.
We don't even use these as the tops can't unscrew to attatched to the cage so my kids just chucked the toys on them in the cage for them.I was going to use them to attatch their food on to keep it off the ground but can't open the tops to attatch it to their cage.Would be nice if they weren't stuck.

Cannot Unscrew Toy Once Screwed On
My rabbit did not show much interest in the wooden fruit pieces. Furthernore, I'm now unable to remove the toy off of the cage no matter how hard I try. So for that reason I had to give this a two stars.

Great chew toy for pet rats.
Great toy for our rats. I really like the fact you can unscrew the bottom and add different chew toys and treats to it. Would definitely recommend!

Love it
Got two of them for my sister's bunny's. Her and the bunny's love them. The bunny's will often ring the bell when they want attention. Really cute.
