Carnality: A Novel

i was really excited to read this book based on the reviews. its okay so far. perhaps i need more craziness or perhaps i am not fully invested in the characters. im on page 241 and at this point i just want to finish it so i can read the next on my list.

I also read the New York Times book review and was not disappointed. I have never been in a book club but this is certainly a book that I would love to discuss with friends who both read a lot as well as those who do not read often to see what they got out of it. It has this arch that you just can’t stop reading until you know how it ends.Two other things. This book was apparently translated from another language so congratulations to both the author and the translator. Secondly, I have a stack of books that I want to read but am having trouble getting started. I very well may read this book a second time before I start reading the other books.I would never presume to tell anyone what they should read but I will buy a few more copies as gifts to see if I can get a conversation going about all the things in this book that made me unable to put it down.
