Gopro HERO 3 White Edition Action Camera 1080p

This was sold and dispatched by Amazon directly. Even with this fact I can't believe this can be a genuine GoPro product.Here's why:It came with two GoPro batteries bizzarely of two different strengths 1 1180mAh and 1 1050 mAh. I charged them both up in the camera until the red light went out. I put 1 in my pocket and 1 in the camera on Friday night. On Saturday I took the camera cycling with a helmet fixing. I pressed the 'ON' button and was surprised when nothing happened. It appeared the battery in the camera was flat?? Never mind perhaps I left it on by mistake. I swapped the battery for the 1 in my pocket and tried to turn the camera on again. Still no luck, this battery was also flat. What?? the batteries go flat in 8 hours without any power drain at all. Surely they can't be genuine batteries? Surely no one could sell rubbish like that?I put the batteries back on charge and waited 2 enjoyable hours for that to happen. Then I went cycling again. I understand from the adverts and videos that these cameras can be used for all sorts of extreme sports. If this camera is genuine I have no idea how this can possibly occur. The support bolt simply can't be tightened enough to stop the camera moving backwards and forwards on it's mount with even the slightest jolt. I hand tightened the bolt and quickly realised this was pathetic. I then got the longest screwdriver I had and tightened the screw as much as I could. The camera could still be easily moved back and forth. The result is that after every bump, you have to reach up and move the camera back to a vertical position otherwise the video is of the floor or the sky.On the plus side the video is very clear although 50% of it is of the ground or the sky. I'll wait and see what Amazon have to say for themselves, but I suspect I will need to buy some after market mounts and some new batteries. Thanks.Ooh there is another plus. one the reasons I wanted the camera was to video the ever increasing number of white vans and other morons who try to run cyclists off the road. Even with flat batteries every single car and van, even the ones who roar up behind, have seen the camera, slowed down, waited and then passed me on the other side of the road. I just wish I had spent £30 on a genuine Chinese knock off rather than £150 on this junk.

Good price for a cracking little camera. The quality is great even at 720p it looks very good played on a wide screen tele. Easy to use menu system and clear on off controls make it good to use in action situations. Used it for skiing and to make videos of fell runs. Using a selfy type stick and the 2 right way up and upside down modes I got some great camera angles to add interest to my running video productions.It does lack some of the functions and quality of the higher priced models but this little device has done well by me. Negatives: The wifi has limited range and the sound quality is a bit muffled when in the full backed case (that comes in the box). Can live with these issues though for the price.

If you're looking to choose between a GoPro Hero and a GoPro Hero 3 White, go for the GoPro Hero 3 White!There's only a £50 or so price difference, it has wifi, memory card capacity over 32GB, time lapse options other than a few and a removable battery! The only thing it doesn't have that the GoPro Hero has is the Superview.But if you're like me and want to see what kind of photo or video you're taking, it's a no brainer! Turn on the wifi, connect it to your iPhone and you can set your picture/video to the perfect angle. Honestly cannot see why you'd want a GoPro without wifi capability!

Been tempted to buy one of these for ages and really glad I did amazing wee camera don't think a day goes buy me or the kids don't use it. This isn't just for sporty people it's great for everyday use. I have lost track of the video cameras the kids have broke making youtube videos dropping them or getting them wet. This camera takes all the abuse the kids put it through and keeps going. We even bought the dog harness and have some great vids of our dog swimming. It also can be used as a dash cam. They might seem a bit expensive but worth every penny.

Such a good price and quality is great. I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend and we recently took it on holiday with us. The pictures was great even under water and when you download the pictures or videos onto your phone or computer, you can opt to download them in low or high quality. My boyfriend has the stick and the chest harness which he uses regularly. The quality doesn't seem to be brilliant in the dark but it's so small and convenient, I think you can get used to it quick.

The 2 batteries that I received with this item do not hold a charge for more than an hour (Even when out of the camera). I would recommend that people do not purchase this product. I have asked for a refund but I was asked to test the batteries, I already know that they are faulty and not fit for purpose, so at the moment I have been left out of pocket and I am going to be ensuring that the company refunds me for this product!Update: full refund received including shipping costs. Great bit of kit especially for the cost! I purchased the go pro 3 for a skiing trip and it was perfect!'. It did freeze a couple of times where I had to take the battery out to give it a boost of life but in fairness it was -36c

Let me first of all say my first order did not turn up but upon contacting Amazon I knew within half an hour they were sending me out another one, so impressed with that! I received the replacement one today and it looks great, it is for my partners birthday and he has been after one for a while so I am sure he will love it :). I will update my review once he has opened and played with it :).
