This is an exact replacement for the filter that was in my Culligan sink filter.First pic shows how the filters match up. The new filter installed, first try, with just the normal amount of slight dripping during the change. No leakage afterward.Directions say to run FIFTEEN GALLONS of water through the filter to flush out carbon fines. In my case, five gallons was plenty but there was very little evidence of fines (particles) even in the first pint. Your experience could be different.Filter is said to be good for SIX months or 500 gallons. Water tastes good, no trace of chlorine.I don't use filtered water for making pasta because our tap water is pretty clean already. However, when making something like broth or stew, where the water is part of the final result, I definitely recommend using filtered water to get the very best possible result. Installed the new filter the other day. This is the first time that the water didn't taste better. It's like this filter is used or something. The water tastes bad! Seems like this was a waste of money. Will be looking for a new filter system.

These are expensive filters but it works

This a replacement filter for an existing system. Love the taste, smell and clarity of the water after the filter.
