Good air compressor, good brad nailer & the tale of too much grease
I've used the air compressor and brad nailer for "shim and trim" work for a new hardwood flooring installation for a couple of weeks. In addition to powering the brad nailer, I used the air compressor with a 16 gauge finish nailer and a flooring nailer ... no problems whatsoever. Air compressor and tank seem to be solidly built, and I like the feel of the brass hose fittings. I was pleasantly surprised by the hose ... not exactly "lay flat", but it doesn't retain the coil like a spring, either (which is what I was expecting). Between the hose and the power cord, the unit has a very nice reach. The output pressure regulator could be better, but it works. The brad nailer seems a competent little unit ... very light, extremely easy to load and clear. I haven't had to clear a jammed nail yet, but when changing to a different length nail strip you do often have to remove one or two loose nails from the front of the nailer (this seems to be a function of the nail strips themselves more than the nailer), so the tool-less nail clearing feature is very useful if you're using one nailer to shoot multiple lengths of nails on the same job. My only tale of caution about the nailer has a happy ending ... After using the nailer a while I noticed that there was some grease coming out of the vent on the back of the unit (near the hose fitting). I wiped it up several times, but the grease kept coming. Since this is an oil-free nailer (and oil-free air compressor), I was concerned that a seal may have been damaged inside the nailer, so I took it to a Porter-Cable service center. When they opened it up, the source of the grease was obvious, as there were large dollups of grease where there should have only been a thin coating. No damage, just too much of a good thing. A quick wipe out of the excess grease, and I'm back to nailing.

Excellent product
In the process of redoing a bedroom into a nursery, I wanted to replace the outdated 1960's trim with something a little more modern. So I picked this up in order to speed up the process of attaching the new baseboards and door casings. The compressor works quite well. The only quibble I have with it is that the markings on the regulator adjustment knob are vague; once I figured out that clockwise raised the pressure, I was good to go.As others have noted, I had some problems initially with the brad nailer jamming. However, with a bit of use this seems to have resolved itself. After I finished the baseboards and casings, I decided to add a chair rail around the room, and at that point the nailer did not jam at all. I think I may have turned the pressure up a bit more at that point, so that may have been the issue. The unit is a bit noisy, which is no big deal when working in the garage, but a little unfortunate when using it to redo a room in the house. I'm not sure that other compressors are much quieter though.I have not tried running two tools simultaneously yet, so I can't comment on that. I'm sure I'll find many more uses for this now that I have it in the garage (I already picked up an air chuck attachment at HD to fill up the car/bike tires).

AVERAGE USER
Got this and initially thrilled to have a compressor this size with such power....then it leaked after one use. Did a good 20 minutes no load run to "break in". Use it with 15ga. finishing gun for couple of strips and left compressor filled overnight to check for leaks. By next morning, down from 120psi to about 40psi.Re-started to fill to max pressure and noticed a hissing sound from somewhere I couldn't detect and frustrated to do detail check. In desperate need for compressor so got another from local hardware store and returned bad one.No problems with newer one....been several weeks now using framing gun. Probably got a lemon on mail order, but one from local store working good so far....In short, good compressor, but leak from first lemon left a sour taste.

This is the one!
The reviews on Amazon were good and what prompted me to purchase this brad nailer / compressor combo. I was tasked with replacing all the baseboard, trim and interior doors on the main floor of our home, about 1,300 sq. ft. This nailer worked absolutely perfectly. I wish it had just a little more power, but far and above overall worked really, really well. I went through over 1,500 2 1/4 inch nails and never had one jam! I'd highly recommend this little baby!

Great for around the house
I have never owned a compressor before and am very happy with this one thus far. If it wasn't so portable I would recommend purchasing a longer air hose. The compressor worked good for installing new woodwork after we had wood floors installed. It has also been handy and worked like a charm doing other things in the garage. I would definitely recommend this compressor so far, but only had it for a month. No problems though.

Great Air compressort and Nail Gun for home use
I bought this to put up chair rails in my garage, and the difference it makes in installation is amazing. No more hammered fingers and missed nails. This included nail gun is a great item, the reason I bought it. Now I have an air compressor to use with different attachments- like paint sprayers and impact wrenches. The two hose attachments allow two tools used at once. I am sure this is too light duty with too small an air tank for industrial work, but it seems great for home use.

Easy to use and works well
I had to make 30 boxes out of fence boards to hold flower bowls for my daughter's wedding. Putting together weathered fence boards to form a box took a lot of brads, but they held together beautifully. The nailer never jammed and was easy to use. I could put in a dozen or more brads before the compressor would cycle on. The high pressure hose is long enough to get to all parts of your project and the compressor/tank is light enough to move when necessary. I have a number of projects planned that will allow me to use it.
