well for practicing taking videos i cant say i never tried but for businees presentation it would be fine

this is the mophie Ipad stand that has the 30 pin connector.

Q: Does this work with the iPad Air?

Since I do not have an iPad Air I cannot give you an answer. I do love it, I would give it a shot.

Q: Charge connector not charging.

I have no problem charging, using the original charging unit. I discovered that some other units do not work properly, but that may be more of an iPad issue than of mophie. Try another charger with sufficient power. An apple usb charger for ipad works for me.
