You can't sprout pearl barley
Pearl means de-hulled, ergo killed, so you can't sprout it. For that you need whole grains. Am gradually adding it to bread recipes, soaking first.

Beware of unsealed bag - thousands of seeds everywhere!😮😕🙈
The barley is good however the last box i ordered, the bag of one hadnt been sealed and the box was full of barley pearls which i didnt really want to use after them going everywhere :(

Lovely taste
I prefer this to rice. Easy to cook. I make a pot of it and use it next to the casseroles or use it as cold in salads.
