excellent taste and firmness
These are really very good cerignola olives, especially for the price. The 5.5lb can I received had all olives of uniform firmness, ripeness, large size and great flavor. I would recommend them without hesitation and will be purchasing them again.

That's a lot of olives
It a very big can. The olives taste great. Most are firm, but a few are a little soft for my liking. I would like to try the green version of this Cerignola variety if Amazon would offer Prime shipping on them.

Meh
Huge can, olives were nice texture. The flavor that I’m used to wasn’t there. There were missing flavors that I was expecting.

Good flavor and right price
Purchased these olives at local store for $7.49/lb, however several times they were mushy from this store and not consistent. Got these from amazon today and thought that they were just great! They were firm and definitely not mushy with good flavor. Storing them in frig in one gallon freezer bags with the liquid, which was plenty to cover all of them. If they last anytime I’ll flip bags over, but doubt if they’ll last that long before there all eaten.

You get what you pay for.
Olives have slight bitter taste that overrides the really great flavor of this kind of olive. The texture is the good meaty one but the taste should be slightly nutty not bitter. The can was dented top and bottom. Will try another brand next time.

awesome
SOOOOO BIIIIIIIIG!Started buying these at the olive bar in whole foods or other grocery - became a habit, quickly spiraled out of control. This is the natural next step - buy in bulk. Brine from Roland is not bad, not much flavor, you get to taste the olive, quality of the stock they get is very ripe.I started out buying only one can, but we blew though it in less than a week, so my last order was for 2 cans so we don't run out. Withdrawal is unpleasant.I'm glad Amazon is stocking it.

Would have been a 4-5
I have never received a more beat up package and can in my life. It must have been dropped from an airplane. It was basically in a loose fitting box empty except for one randomly inserted air cell that didn't even cover one side. Nonetheless, since the can was still sealed, I resorted to a hacksaw to get it open as ever surface of the top and bottom were bent totally. The olives? There is no olive superior to black Cerignolas. They are meaty, unobtrusive pit and not too briny. These are olives that combined with good bread and cheese form the staple of live. I would give the olives 4 stars, they only got 2 because of the bent, twisted can resulting from poor packing.

These olives were perfect. Giant size with pits.
I have found these a few times at Whole Foods olive bar of unpredictable freshness and paid a fortune. I love Cerignola olives but when they are canned without pits, they tend to be mushy and have much less flavor. I love most olives but these are my favorite and they have been almost impossible to find at a reasonable price.
