'Hurry Up Tomorrow' is the sixth studio album by the Canadian singer-songwriter the Weeknd. The album contains confirmed guest appearances from Playboi Carti and Anitta. Production was handled by the Weeknd himself, Max Martin, Oscar Holter, Pharrell Williams, Mike Dean, Ojivolta, Twisco, and Sean Solymar, among others. The album was supported by three singles: 'Dancing in the Flames', 'Timeless' (with Playboi Carti) and 'Sao Paulo' (featuring Anitta). It will be also be supported by the upcoming psychological thriller film of the same name. The album serves as the final part of a trilogy, following the Weeknd's previous two studio albums, 'After Hours' (2020) and 'Dawn FM' (2022). Review: Ok - Ok Review: Weeknd back to form. - The album is amazing but it's not the full album. Only 11 of 22 tracks but this is the day one edition and the full version will be out on CD format in May.

Bitterly disappointed
While the music is brilliant, the rest is a complete disappointment. As a vinyl collector, I am completely disappointed and disgusted with the package. Plain inner sleeve and no information anywhere. No track listing, no song details, no credits. Nothing. I should return it and enjoy the music via Spotify. It also advertised that this was the final part of a trilogy from The Weeknd, so it comes as a complete shock to learn there are only 11 tracks out of the 22 tracks on Spotify. No track listing was available when I preordered this vinyl.

Abel Tesfaye had massive expectations to meet with ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’, the grand finale to his ‘80s-inspired trilogy that began with ‘After Hours’ (2020) and ‘Dawn FM’ (2022). This album isn’t just a closer—it’s a sprawling, immersive ride that fuses retro synth nostalgia with cutting-edge production. The opener, “Wake Me Up,” wastes no time setting the tone, channelling Michael Jackson’s Thriller era with effortless confidence. “Cry For Me” glistens with vintage synths layered over thunderous modern beats, making for a dynamic, club-ready standout. Meanwhile, “I Can’t Wait to Get There” slows things down, offering a neo-soul glow that cuts through the album’s darker textures. Tesfaye is in his element, effortlessly shifting between synth-wave, soul, trap, and sleek radio pop—proving yet again that he’s a master of bending genres while keeping his hooks razor-sharp. “São Paulo” is drenched in hazy synths, his falsetto gliding through a hypnotic blend of seduction and melancholy. Then there’s “Baptized in Fear,” where he lays bare his struggles with addiction, offering some of his most confessional lyrics to date—though the repeated rhyme. “Reflections Laughing” takes a left turn into psychedelia, featuring Travis Scott and a haunting voice recording of a girl pleading with him to escape his past. “Given Up On Me” stretches nearly six minutes, packed with unexpected shifts and raw vulnerability. And just when the album feels like it can’t go deeper, “The Abyss,” featuring Lana Del Rey, pulls us into some of Tesfaye’s most mesmerising vocal work yet. There’s no need to dissect every track to recognise what ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’ achieves. It’s yet another reminder of why The Weeknd remains one of music’s most compelling forces—pushing boundaries, reinventing nostalgia, and making it all sound effortless.

What you need to know about this album? It is Part 1 of 2. It’s not a double record release. My vinyl was pressing made in Mexico if that matters to anyone! And I do know first pressing was Africa. TRACKLIST: SIDE A 1. WITHOUT A WARNING 2. CRY FOR ME 3. SÃO PAULO 4. SOCIETY 5. TAKE ME BACK TO LA SIDE B 6. THE ABYSS 7. OPEN HEARTS 8. TIMELESS 9. GIVE ME MERCY 10. RUNAWAY 11. RED TERROR Vocals and Studio Recording and Remix is prime! Any fan of The Weeknd a must have!

Secondo me questa prima stampa in futuro potrebbe diventare abbastanza rara. Personalmente consiglio l’acquisto.
