American Marine CO2 Regulator Solenoid

This is exactly what we wanted and this company was amazing!!! Their customer service was fantastic and would definitely order from them again!!

Works as expected. Do not like that it isn't adjustable though.

Works as advertised. I use this for my saltwater calcium reactor. I love the small form factor.

I purchased this at my local fish store (LFS). The needle valve provides great, stable dosing control. This regulator does not fit a standard industrial 5lb CO2 cylinder commonly available at welding supply and industrial gas companies. I am not sure what American Marine means by "standard" cylinder in their website description. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. I also had a great deal of trouble getting the paintball tank adapter to work. I wasted 3/4 of a tank trying to get the adapter to seal to the tank. I ended up having to use two large wrenches and really cranking down on the thing to get it to seal. WAY more force than has ever been required on other CO2 regulator/adapter combinations I've used. Out of curiosity, I took the unit back to my local fish store and had them try one of their paintball tanks on it just to make sure it wasn't an issue with the tank. Same problem with it as well. Given the cost of this unit and the fact that American Marine advertises this as "high end" and "the cadillac of regulators" in the instructions, I do not expect these types of issues and I'm definitely not happy with it.

I setup the PinPoint (AmericanMarine) CO2 Regulator 1.5 days ago to replace a Milwaukee 957 Regulator, and so far it is working Very Well with a bubble Count Exactly the same as when I set it 36 hours ago - Impressed.The previous regulator mentioned above was terribly inacurate requiring constant, daily readjustment - even after manufacturer recomended update procedures (I contacted the company several times for help).The PinPoint regulator is simple in design and the only required adjustment, the needle valve, is adjusted by a supplied jewelers screwdriver (too bad it is not a chrome-knurled knob) and seems to hold its setting very well.The glass bubble counter reservoir screws directly to solenoid valve, underneath it, and the hose to the tank attaches to part of the solenoid, out of the way of the reservoir - a great inovation.The supplied packaging is generic white cardboard and somewhat basic, making one's initial impression of the product "cheap", but upon opening the box, the device itself seems to be of good quality... For me, a far improvement from the previous Regulator I was using.
