5 stars , worked in a variesty of CORE and ampshare tools, and standard charger
The media could not be loaded. I opened it placed it in the latest miter saw (GCM18V-07SN) and it ran great. I then stuck it in my standard charger (GAL18V-40) and it charged to full bars. I also tested it in a GAS18V-3N vacuum , a reciprocating saw (i don't have the model handy) and the oscillating. Even though the listing says Bosch 18v, there's also a compatibility listing towards the bottom, it's not clear except for that that this would be backwards compatible to older lithium-ion type Bosch tools, for new Bosch i've tried, it's working great.I can say i wouldn't know the difference with my eyes closed, it fit the tools perfectly, felt solidly built, and if the listing description is true in regards to charging protections and cell capacity (emphasized in the description) this seems like a great Bosch alternative. I would be hesitant to use an aftermarket battery in the high amperage chargers (there's a great youtube video explaining the differences in the models and amps and tests) but maybe it wouldn't be an issue.Fit and finish is excellent. The plastic feels a bit different grade but not cheap at all, the red plastic feels identical. i suspect the Bosch would survive a drop better based on the black plastic feel but i can't be sure about that. I actually have a lot of failures with the Bosch , lots have had led's die , then some just died. I also have had brand new other brands batteries fail right out of the box (36v metabo htp)., so some duds does not seem abnormal.I do update my reviews on products with exceptionally long life or short (even many years later), so consider the age of this review when reading...if old and no updates you know it worked great for me. Right now I don't have an idea of capacity my small vac burns through a 4ah and It feels like this one keeps going. What's needed is a proper capacity test I'll probably followup up with later after more run time and i receive a capacity tester. I'm sure most of us buying non oem batteries are just happy to get long enough life and better run time without being too specific but it's nice to know. But until that proves otherwise this battery is thus far for me meets all of it's product description and i'm very satisfied thus far.Update #1 been a few months, i'm using these in my circular 7 1/4 saw, the track saw, the miter, vac without issues.

Works fine, feels a little loose
I only have one Bosch tool, and this battery definitely powers it. It certainly fastens correctly and I can hear the expected "click" sound. But when installed, it feels a little loose and I can move the battery a bit back and forth. Charges fine and seems to hold a charge for a reasonable amount of time. Nice LED battery level indicators.

li-Ion Bosch lookalike for the win
I love Bosch tools because they are so high-quality and work so well. The downside is that the cost so much too. I am lucky enough to have a couple of Bosch batteries but I wanted another to have as a backup because I found that with only two batteries it is possible to run out if you are running a blower that uses a good bit of power.I gave the Powitec battery a shot and so far, it has done a great job. The battery charged up quickly and I tested it out on my small shop blower and it ran for over 45 minutes on one charge. I know this says 8AH so you would expect that it would last twice what a 4AH would last but it did not quite make it that long. My 4AH Bosch batteries generally last about 30 minutes but the upside is that this battery weighs about the same as the 4AH, cost less, and lasted longer. So far, this battery has been charged and discharged about 20 times since I got it. I have not noticed any signs of premature discharge or hesitation in accepting a new charge. It fit perfectly onto all of my Bosch tools.

Geeking over the charge indicator
Have you noticed that some of these Bosch fitment batteries to not have indicators for state of charge? That might seem petty, and easy to miss, but without those indicators you have zero clue of how much charge you have left. Thankfully, this battery includes that. I never thought I would be geeking about something like this but here we are. This battery has a heck of a capacity and connects solidly with the reciprocating saw I've been using. The red accents are a nice touch and overall this looks very similar to the OEM Bosch battery I'm replacing this with. Absolutely consider this battery if you are looking to upgrade.

Big and high capacity
I have quite a few 18V Bosch cordless tools that I use around the house frequently along with a bunch of 2, 4, and 6Ah Bosch batteries. I ordered this battery specifically for use in my GAS-18V portable shop vac, since it is the largest and highest-drain Bosch tool that I have. While this does connect to various other tools, it's overkill (just too heavy and bulky) for a drill, sander, impact driver, etc.Compared to my Bosch 6.0Ah battery, this 8.0Ah battery is almost 1" taller (top to bottom) and 1/2" longer (front to back) but has the same width. Fortunately, it fits in the vac's enclosed battery compartment with no issues. The battery functions and charges just fine, you will not notice any difference there. Construction quality seems good, although the plastic casing does feel like it is harder and not as tough as the Bosch batteries (not sure if that's true though). It does have the newer style 5-segment LED power indicator (vs. old 3-segment) which is nice, especially in a larger battery. My only gripe is that the battery release is a bit stiff, so it takes some extra effort to detach the battery from the charger or tools, but it's not a huge deal. For my application, being used in a high-drain tool with minimal concerns about the battery being bumped or dropped, this works great. Given that it is less than half the cost of the OEM battery, I would say it appears to be a great deal.
