Arrived within 24hrs of placing order on Prime, just in time for the forecast heatwave!Very pleased so far, it was simplicity itself to assemble, you just need a Phillips screwdriver to tighten 4 screws that attach the base - and note that the fan blade is secured by a plastic boss that has a REVERSE thread ... so anti-clockwise to tighten. I'd suggest care in not over tightening anything.It's a very conventional looking fan and it's fair to say it is made of cheap pvc material but this in no way detracts from its quiet operation and good airflow. Some reviewers have suggested a problem with vibration and rattles but this one is as quiet as anything and should be easy to sleep with.It is branded Fine Elements in the (perfectly adequate) instructions and I think available from different sellers.

I've only given 4* as I have only just assembled it and haven't used it yet. It looks very nice and works fine. My main reason for this review is that the assembly instructions are unbelievably poor. To work out how to assemble it visit Youtube under, 'Lets Unbox (& Assemble) Fine Elements 12" Oscillating Fan. Although a different make almost identical. What it doesn't show you is how to attach the circular disc that has the makers name, Elpine. However you will work this out by the pieces left. Hope this is helpful.

A neat fan, the central logo from the front of the fan grill cannot be tightened enough and rattles around on the grill when the fan is on. The power cord is far to short compared to the old Tefal fan it replaced. The moulded plug fitted is very shallow making it difficult to pull out of the socket. I spent a lot of time researching fans and didn’t buy the cheapest. I read the reviews good and bad. It just goes to show, you can’t actually beat seeing and touching the goods before you buy. The fan is reasonably quiet, but all fans tend to make more noise when oscillating. I can modify the front central plastic part to eliminate the rattle.

This LOOKED like a standard fan we already had, but turned out to be not the case. It's poorer in just about every sense. Not unusably poor - it still blows air, oscillates and tilts up and down, but the cord is shorter, it's less sturdy, and it vibrates really badly because the fan blade is unbalanced. A real shame.Is it worth dismantling it, figuring out how all the bits go back in the box, and returning it? Probably not, but I really can't recommend it. Sorry.

Unfortunately the fan wasn't working. It looked like it had already been returned the way it was packaged.Someone had tried to remove the grill to fix it because the threading had gone on the screws.I wasn't happy so emailed the company. They denied it was a damaged return that I received but to give them credit they refunded my money and said I didn't have to bother returning the fan, which was appreciated and saved me more mither.

I'm a 73 year old woman with arthritis and find it difficult with screws nuts and bolts however I found this fan quite easy to put together. It has been a godsend in this heatwave and I have it on in the bedroom throughout the night. It does meant the night have been much more comfortable and I have been more easily able to get to sleep. I will never be without a fan again.

I bought two of these in what turned out to be the hottest week of the year so far. I ordered one for home and one for my caravan, the came the next day and I put them together in minutes. The big bonus is that they are quiet enough for me to sleep, I’ve already recommended them to a friend and would definitely buy another one if necessary. A very happy customer!

This fan arrived very quickly and was easy to fix to the base. The fan cover had very small screw to hold it together which was a little fiddly but worth the effort. The fan looks neat and is fairly quiet. It is in front of the tv and I didn't need to turn the volume on the tv up. Light weight so I carry it from room to room and very efficient. Most of the time I have it on the lowest setting and it is enough. I would shop with you again.
