I love this brand of dishware
I have the bowls and 3 sizes of plates from this line of plastic dishware (these are the smallest plates). I live alone and have mobility issues, so I often just don't want to do dishes. Then, I pick these products. They give the feel and function of "real" dishes, but are disposable. Best of all, since I don't HAVE TO wash them, in many cases I find that I CHOOSE to wash them and use them again. Years ago, they were called "Rinse and Reuse", so washing works really well. But, in the end, they are meant to be thrown out. So, whenever I am too lazy to clean them, out they go! I also like them because they hold up well if you must use a knife to cut your food - far better than paper plates. And, they work really well in the microwave! Overall, although more expensive than paper plates, their ability to be reused and the great function make them well worth it. I highly recommend their bowls, which are generously sized, for soups, chili, etc. And they make these oversized plates (I think they are 11") that is really hard to find in paper product. These extra large ones can even be used as serving trays or cake plates.

Strong Waterproof Design
This design is sturdy and leak-proof. You don't have to double-up to hold heavy foods. Can grasp with one hand without worry of spilling. Can be used in the microwave.

Better than Chinet!
I love this line of products. They hold up better than any other paper plate product. There is no sag on any part of the plate, including the edges and they do not soak through.

Great Product
We have been using these plates a lot until the stores in our area stopped stocking them for some reason. I immediately bought them when I saw them on Amazon. The are just as good as the other Vanity Fair bowls and plates in terms of toughness and quality. They are perfect for heating/reheating small portions of food in the microwave. For an average cost of 14 cents per plate, I think this was a good buy. I will certainly be ordering more of this product in the future.

Just wish they were bigger
I find these plates vastly superior to other disposable plates. There are dozens of reasons. Most importantly they are sturdy and won't leak through even with hot things on them. I've read that they are made with crushed stone added in which must be why they are so strong. I do have to be careful when cutting on them with a sharp tipped knife as I can pierce them, but otherwise they are way better than any other brand. I can cut a sandwich or other food with no problem. They are more expensive but I'll go out of my way to find them because I feel more like I'm using regular dishes rather than having a picnic. They do well in the microwave and can even be rinsed off and reused. My only gripe is that they are 7" plates. That's too small for a salad or single dinner portion. They work for a sandwich or a dessert, but that's not what I want them for. The 7" size is equivalent to a bread and butter plate and I certainly wouldn't be using them for a formal table setting so I don't understand why the 9" luncheon size was discontinued and these kept. It's the 9" size that I would use all the time. I keep a supply of the 11" plates but they are too big for most things. Still I find the occasional use for this size and continue to reorder. As disposable plates go this brand is the only one I'll use.

These are great "throw away" dessert plates
These are great "throw away" dessert plates! They are not always easy to find in the stores around my area.....usually the dinner size plates and/or bowls. These little plates are nice looking and sturdy. Our family often uses them for birthday cake.

Vanity Fair makes the best paper products!
Oops. Wasn't paying attention. Meant to order BOWLS, and got dessert plates by mistake. We rarely if ever use them. However, it's not the plates fault we ordered wrong, and the quality of the Vanity Fair product is outstanding, so 5 stars for that, even if we wanted bowls!
