Chippewa Men's 8" Steel Toe EH 27422 Boot

I am a Fire Inspector and I wear  Chippewa Men's 8" Steel Toe EH 27422 Boot,Black,9.5 E US  everyday; these REAL LEATHER boots are both functional with the tongue zipper and steel toe also these boots will take on and hold an excellent mirror shine! I get complements often on how glassey my boots are; presents a excellent image to the Fire Chief and the general public. I use  Lincoln Shoe Wax Polish Black 3 Ounces (3 Pack) , this stuff quickly brings out a deep glossy mirror shine quick and it stands up to the abuse from a shift and keeps on gleaming!To help with the break in and soften the leather I took  Lexol Leather Conditioner Spray (16.9 oz.) & Microfiber Cloth Kit  and sprayed down the inside portion of the leather and rubbed the inside of the boots to ensure the lotion was applied to all areas, I did this for two application allowing for it to absorb and dry between applications. After wearing these boots for two shifts they were broken in like tennis shoes.I have worn a number of different brand firefighting boots over the years and these are by far the best!

The best boots I have ever owned, by far. I ride motorcycles, work on classic vehicles as a hobby, and run a company. These boots serve all three perfectly and are constructed very well with quality materials and workmanship. They took about one week to break in and are now are very comfortable for long days on my feet. I am very pleased and proud that they are made here in America.

I did have to watch the video...a couple times. My first day was awesome, but I normally wear six inch steel toes, so it was awkward. They did start to hurt in different areas. Now I'm trying to figure out how to adjust them to not be so tight on my ankles when I take one knee. One arch is higher than the other, but I'm not sure if I should re-lace both boots or use a metal rod to tighten everything because I have broken three pens trying to get things tight again.

I've only worn these a few times so far, so I can't tell yet how well or quickly they'll break in. I do like the quality of construction, and have hopes that once broken in they'll be 5 star boots.

This is a great work boots, I love this boots, made in USA. I have been werring them for the last 20 years.

The boots took about three weeks to break in but well worth the price. American made was the reason for my choice.

It took me about a week or two to break it in for a comfortable fit. And lacing is a chore. But after breaking it in, it is comfortable. Great work boots, plus an added benefit of looking stylish.

Very durable. I've had 2 pair over the past 5+ years. I'm judt.now considering having one of them resoled.
