Amazon Basics Professional USB Condenser Microphone - Black

Honestly, I can't fault AmazonBasics. They release product after product, all great for the money. Plugged this microphone in and... "it worked". No issues, nothing. Unlike my old blue snowball which would have SO MANY issues with Windows 10, this worked amazingly and all of my mates recognised "a big difference".The option to mute is quick and easy. The adjustment of the microphone volume is also really useful to have - you may find yourself using it. It's also good for singing and commentating, due to its clarity.The design of the microphone itself is great. It looks classy, by no means cheap, and has a steady build.If I had to fault this mic it would be that it only could attach to one size of microphone stand - got an adaptor for that. Cardioid mode also works well, but the mic does pick up my typing.Recommended.

This mic is excellent for the cash capturing the spoken word, vocals and gaming chatter perfectly.The only problem I had was finding a shock mount for it. Eventually I bough a generic mount and used a separate bolt.Apart from that a brilliant product that competes with far more expensive mics.

I've never spent 70 odd £££'s on a microphone but I thought I'd splash and feel what it's like to have a half-decent 'pro' microphone.Alas, very disappointed.The main reason I got the microphone was for Skype 1st and in the eventuality I might do a a YT recording, 2nd.Doing a test-call on Skype and I can not hear the voice instructing and inviting us to speak. The microphone is 'seen' and the bars move in the preferences dialog when I talk into the mic.Also, the pc's system audio settings sees the mike, and I make sure that Input and Output are configured correctly, but no matter what I do, in either the system wide audio settings or Skype settings the £73 microphone doesn't work!I've let time pass by, when I should have cared enough to get a refund quickly, but I didn't and somehow thought it will work eventually somehow.Please, avoid and save your money.

So this mic was a huge leap in what I had before, worked well for the past 1 year and however many months I've had it, however today it completely gave up on me, I checked inside the mic itself and I saw that the USB port has completely detached from the motherboard and now I need to spend more money from the return policy is over so it is what it is.

I've had this a while now and have almost no issue with it. Sound quality is great, it looks really nice on my desk, and it's pretty easy to use.My only gripe is that the touch sensitive button doesn't work sometimes, but it doesn't happen often enough for me to really see it as a major flaw, especially since it's considerably cheaper than a yeti.

I enjoy the build quality which is very solid. It's heavy and I like that. The buttons are touch so it's not perfect (I prefer real buttons or heptic feedback at least|) but it still works. The fact that I can attach a headset to it and hear a live preview of my voice is something I find really cool! The mic supports various directions through a mode button. It's nice because it allows versatility depending on your setup.I honestly would buy another one, if needed. I have a feeling this one will last me a long time anyway.(PS: Truth be told, I didn't pay full price, I was able to score one through Warehouse at less than half the price so that's why I'm so excited! :) Perhaps I would be pickier if I had paid for price?)

The media could not be loaded.  Summary:I tested this microphone for several weeks before making this review, using my PC computer that runs Windows 10 operating system (although you should be able to use it with MacOS as well). The main use I made with it is for voiceover in my videos. This is a plug & play microphone, that works once you plug the USB cable into your computer, and there’s no need to install any driver.The AmazonBasics microphone has a great resemblance to the Blue Yeti (which I also own) and was used as my benchmark microphone for comparison.Personally, I think the average user will be more than satisfied with the audio quality of the Amazon Basics microphone. You can watch my videos of this microphone (I uploaded one with this review), so you will know how it sounds.The microphone both the microphone and the mount are made from solid metal and it seems to be as durable as the Blue Yeti (which is a good thing).The microphone is supplied with a USB-to-MicroUSB cable. I managed to use a standard USB-to-MicroUSB cable with this microphone, which makes life much easier if (god forbid) the cable is damaged, or if you want to use a longer/shorter cable.The height can be extended up to 40mm. Though I don't know how many people will find it useful, I didn't encounter this feature on other microphones that I tested so far, including the similar Blue Yeti.Unlike the Blue Yeti, that has a manual gain switch (which makes it easier to determine if you are on max/min level), it is hard to tell what is the AmazonBasics microphone’s gain level. Although you can set the volume level by pressing the +/- buttons on the microphone, the volume level is shown only on the computer.If you ask me, the AmazonBasics is an interesting alternative to the Blue Yeti. Eventually, this is a Blue Yeti clone… because it looks like the Blue Yeti, sounds like the Blue Yeti and feels like the Blue Yeti. But then, you probably ask yourself why not just get the real thing and that's it, right!?Well, the main reason why you should consider this microphone is if the price differentiation compared to the Blue Yeti is significant. When the AmazonBasics microphone is discounted by Amazon this is an excellent bargain for a Blue Yeti clone. Ero un po' scettico nell'acquistare un microfono "AmazonBasics", ma quando ho letto le specifiche tecniche, ho potuto constatare che si avvicina a molte altre marche più rinomate.Finalmente riesco a parlare con i miei amici su chat vocali, ma anche su vari giochi, tra cui roleplay, dove è fondamentale l'uso di un microfono.Ho potuto udire personalmente poi il suono "catturato" da questo microfono, niente da invidiare ad alcuni microfoni, se non al massimo la popolarità.
