Heavy, quality base
Well made, perfect size, heavy enough for my half umbrella. The umbrella is behind my 2-seated glider in front of my patio window. There’s but a tiny wobble because it’s almost free-standing. Let’s face it, top & bottom heavy, there’s nothing in the middle to stabilize it during heavy winds. It’s not the manufacturers fault, but a matter of weight distribution. In the position it is in, I get maximum support with maximum sun protection.Quality umbrella base at a great price

Does the job
Great outdoor umbrella base. Not too heavy, easy to move.

I'd Purchase Again!
Perfect for a narrow deck/space. It's a bit tipsy and I had to shim the base to stabilize it. Pretty!

Won't hold an umbrella! Save your money!
I am giving this one because it's actually quite attractive. If I could give it zero stars, I would. Like the other plastic and concrete filled base that we purchased, this does not work for an actual patio umbrella. In theory it's great… But in practice it fails. Miserably. The base is made out of plastic, they call it something fancy like polycarbonate this that or the other. But it's plastic and it's filled with sand or concrete. It's adequately heavy, the problem arises because the umbrella holder is made out of what feels like cast aluminum or some light metal. The base is plastic and it is a screw in umbrella holder. The thread on the umbrella holder is very large and wide. The internal threads in the base are rather fine. They do not match one another. So when you screw the metal umbrella holder into the plastic base it catches but doesn't get tight enough to hold the umbrella so if you try to tighten it it feels like it strips and just keeps going around. Because it doesn't work it is a tremendously poor value for the money. If it was five cents it would be a poor value for the money. My husband jerry rigged a solution by putting liquid nails down in the base and we're trying to adapt it that way. I can imagine that we're going to have to put some kind of a conduit clamp around the umbrella pole to try to hold the halfumbrella up against the house. It is not sturdy. There is absolutely no way it could ever be useful in wind of any type, or even a breeze… And I just could never recommend purchasing this item.
