Looks gorgeous, but too slippery and protection is flimsy at top and bottom
I previously tried the Hyperion Explorer Hybrid case - http://www.amazon.com/Hyperion-Explorer-Compatible-Warranty-Packaging/dp/B00FJ9V0LA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1395762071&sr=8-1&keywords=hyperion+explorer+case+nokia+icon+orange, but the color I ordered was not as pleasant as the picture (i.e. it was horrid), So although I liked the case very much, I decided to try the Incipio DualPro case in black. Someone in another review described it as "Batman Black" which is what sold me on it, and I have to agree with that assessment, the matte finish on this case is beautiful, a perfect aesthetic complement to the Nokia Icon. Unfortunately my phone needs to do things other than lie elegantly on my desk, or lean seductively against its wireless charging stand, so that is where my issues with this case lie.The "DualPro" name refers to the 2-layer protection, which is my primary criteria in choosing a case. The inner protective skin is a soft flexible material, the outer shell is a tougher plastic. However, this particular outer shell has a smooth, almost velvety feel to it that makes it incredibly slick, particularly compared to the rugged gripping ridges on the Hyperion case. I am constantly afraid it will slip right out of my hand. I do have small hands, and the Icon is a fairly large phone, so this is a very bad combination for me. In addition, that gorgeous matte finish doesn't hide the fingerprints well. However slick exterior aside, I was particularly unhappy with the structure of the case itself, The inner flexible skin is completely exposed across the top and bottom the entire width of the phone. The exterior hard shell only covers the back and wraps around the sides and corners of the phone. The inner skin is pretty thin as it is, but add to that the holes cut out both top and bottom for the connector ports, it makes the strips of skin across the front very loose and flimsy. I can take my fingernail and pull the skin completely back from the phone, and when it snaps back it does not go all the way back into place. I have had it less than 24 hours and already the top and bottom have become snagged in my purse or my pocket and I am constantly having to push the top or bottom strip back down snug over the phone's bezel. I can see these two strips quickly becoming stretched out, or even breaking. I also don't feel confident an impact directly against the top or bottom would be well protected.A couple other positives besides the beautiful aesthetics: The buttons, which are covered by the inner skin, work amazingly well, you can hardly tell they are covered by a case. The back of the case provides a nice raised buffer around the camera lens, so it is well protected. And assuming the top and bottom strips have been snugged in place, you can safely place the phone face down.Ultimately, I was not impressed with this case considering the cost, at least as constructed for the Nokia Icon. For significantly less money, I will most likely go back to the Hyperion's case, and just avoid the colored ones this time.

Protects your phone but...
I ordered this last year in March 2015. I like the double layers of protection and it does its job of protecting my phone well. However a few months ago the rubber coating of the outer shell started peeling... and peeling. The back of my case looks like a patchwork of the matte coating and the shiny plastic (or plextonium). Then I had accidentally dropped it a couple of times on the tile floor in the past few weeks (none at all last year). I soon noticed hairline cracks on the most vulnerable parts of the outer shell, the corners. The cracks deepened and eventually actual (small) pieces of it broke off. Also the silicone layer is too "loose" around the mini usb port. If I put my phone in my pocket or into my bag, the lip of silicone sleeve can catch onto something and it'll rub against my exposed screen protector* and a tiny bit will peel away. Luckily the way the silicon sleeve is built it can hide most of these imperfections. [*I have a wet mount screen protector, if it makes a difference]Like I said it's very good at protection. I'm glad I had this when I accidentally dropped my phone on the tiles and I still use this case. However I wouldn't depend on this to keep its appearance because I have to switch out to some other case if I need my phone to look more aesthetically pleasing or "professional" since it's literally falling apart after less than a year. I mean, I don't expect a phone case to last forever but... well... if it lasted for at least a year before peeling it would've been four stars.

Comparable to the Otterbox Commuter, but with a better feel.
The DualPro case is very similar to the Otterbox Commuter case, which has been my go to case for the last 4 smarthphones I had. However, Otterbox doesn't make the Commuter for the Icon just yet, and I don't like the bulk of the Defender. The Incipio DualPro is like the Commuter; it has a rubber skin that you put the phone in, and then a harder shell that you slide the rubber skin into. The hardshell has a smooth/rubberized feel. It will definitely protect the phone, but those familiar with the Commuter case will probably prefer this texture than the Otterbox hard plastic feel.So far, no issues. It works with the wireless Qi charger and the rubber skin covers the buttons but they fit over perfectly. You can use all the controls and mini-USB/headphone jack with no modifications. My only issue, which is why I gave it a 4 instead of 5 stars, is that the hardshell doesn't cover the top or the bottom of the phone, just the sides and corners. This is unlike the Otterbox Commuter case. I think this may be do to the ports on the top and bottom of the phone, and I may just be being picky. My concern is that it may not protect the phone 100% if dropped right on the top/bottom edge. Not sure though. Anyways, I'm very happy with it.

Comparable to Otterbox Commuter cases
Bought this for my wife's Nokia Lumia Icon. On her previous device, she used an Otterbox Commuter series case and really liked the protection provided.Pros:- Perfect fit for Nokia Lumia Icon (everything lines up perfectly - i.e. mics, speaker, buttons)- Reasonably priced- Multiple layers of protection (soft, rubbery internal cover; hard case for back and side coverage)Cons:- Unlike the "Commuter" cases I've seen, the top and bottom of the DualPro are only protected by the rubberized inner layer- Doesn't provide as much additional "grip" as you would expectOther comments:- Should provide adequate coverage from all but the worst case scenarios (drops from significant heights, phone getting run over)- The lack of grip provided may be viewed as a positive by those who pocket their phone***Update 6/25/2014***I have now witnessed my wife drop her phone from about 4' getting out of her SUV onto the asphalt. Her phone and case came away with virtually no physical damage. I'd say this case did its job and then some. Definitely worth purchasing if you need this sort of protection for your device.
