I have a Humble Lamb Lion, an LSB full yapp cowhide handy size Bible, a Crossway ESV Gloria Dei and a Cambridge Turquoise full yapp Bible. All very premium bibles well over the $200 price point. And then I bought this. Now I feel like I overpaid for all those other Bibles. I got this for $102 and it's nearly perfect. It has a soft, pebbly goatskin cover, generous yapp, art gilt pages, perimeter stitching, 36 gsm paper, an amazing font and text block and it's just such an overall great Bible. Now the others are definitely nicer, with pleated corner work and better work on the edge-lined tabs and full leather liners. But for just over a hundred bucks this feels like a steal. It's not that far off the much more premium options. And the paper is superior to some of the others I've mentioned. I love the NKJV and this is easily the best ones I've had. I'd definitely recommend this one. If you don't want to spend even this much, pick up the NKJV Maclaren series thinline, it's got the same text block and paper with a paste down liner and words of Christ in blue, for around $30.
