We R Memory Keepers Letterpress Printing Plate Set, Petite

These brittle plates can't withstand the pressure of letterpress. They cracked within just the first or second pass through the L-letterpress that I use for quick proof copies, not heavy duty print runs. But they can't hold up to even that. After one of them cracked in the L-letterpress I threw it on my print press for funsies. It spiderwebbed into oblivion. The point being: commercial press or scrapbook press, it doesn't matter...they aren't the right material to take on that much force. You're better off to just order photopolymer plates. Everything is industry standard type high. So the same polymer plates used on something like a Heidelberg Windmill would also work in the l-letterpress and probably with way better results. The rubbery material is meant to take on the pressure of a press. These have no give...they'll just chip and crack with every use.

Really disappointed in this item. The line border was missing part of the pattern, so I could only use 3/4 of it. After using the welcome about 3 times the W was damaged and so i now have "elcome" The "y" in boy same thing happened. The 2 backgrounds have held up so far, although i did not try them more than twice.
