Last season, Rick Grimes and his group of survivors were reminded how brutal the world they live in can be. After feeling powerless under Negan’s rules and demands, Rick rallied Hilltop and the Kingdom to fight back against the Saviours. Now, Rick is ready to bring all-out war, as the unified communities fight for a better future. Although the Saviours are larger, better-equipped and ruthless, Rick and the unified communities are fighting not just for survival but for a better future. With Rick leading the Alexandrian forces, Maggie leading the Hilltop, and King Ezekiel leading the Kingdom, Negan and the Saviours’ grip on this world may finally be coming to an end.

Return to form
I thought this season was a return to form in many ways. I like to binge watch this series, so I have been avoiding spoilers like the plague until all the episodes became available on Amazon. It was worth the wait.I’m still not sure about the expanded world of the most recent Walking Dead seasons. The Kingdom and the scavenger groups are on the wrong side of the comic book line to my personal taste. Thankfully there is enough raw grit and bleakness to counter some of the more far fetched plot elements. The pacing is quite good in this season. I can’t think of any outstanding bad or dull episodes, which is not true of prior seasons. It is generally quite consistent throughout. There is one outstanding, albeit very sad, episode mid-way which was my pick of the bunch. The finale was a mixed bag and I thought the second half was better than the first. Still good overall, though. If you’re a Walking Dead fan it’s a no brainer. £30 is a bit expensive, but I really don’t mind paying it because I enjoy the show and it’s worth it to me to be able to binge-watch in peace without adverts or interruptions.Recommended.

A dip in quality yes, but still good
OK first off this season isn't as good as the first 6 not by far, and it's not quite as good as season 7 which was very hit and miss for me, these last two seasons have definitely been a dip in quality for the show but that's not to say they aren't good like season 7 I'm giving this 4 stars it's still a great show better than 90% of TV shows out there even seasons 7 and 8 that's what all these people moaning about the walking dead lately have to remember yes these two seasons wernt as good but still good, admittedly alot of filler episodes aswell, second half of this season is way better than the first so stick with if your finding it tough it does get better, most annoying thing in this season is the pointless close up shots, it's like they were just meeting the episode run times cos they couldn't think of anything else. Definitely come back for season 9!! It's finally back to its best!!

Awesome Season
I thought this was an awesome season, why it's getting a lot of hate i will never know, but me i personally loved it, SURE it's not the best out of all the seasons but it's certainly not the worst, anyone who has a problem with this aren't true deep fans of the show, Killing walkers day in day out in a series gets a bit repetitive i like that there is a new enemy a human enemy which is obviously Negan who by the way is one of the best TV villains of all time! sure i hate what he done at the beginning of season 7 but that doesn't take away the fact he is an awesome character and the actor who is playing him is doing a fantastic job, this season is WAR! Rick and his gang vs the Saviors, non stop action and great acting from everyone, and i honestly can't wait for season 9!! i would like to write more but i can't without spoiling and i don't want to be that guy, so if you're a fan of TWD then definitely get this season it's worth it!

Episode one of the last series was good, but then it all fell apart after that ...
I am being cautious this time. Episode one of the last series was good, but then it all fell apart after that and I only watched it because I had bought it in advance. This first episode was promising. But I have to complain at the obvious stupidities. "Lets finish this" they kept banning on for the first half of the episode, Rick is out to kill Negan, and boy is he angry. So did no one else notice how long he had him in his sights to kill easy a thousand times over? But no that would be to easy, we have a lot more episodes yet. So instead he waits till he can't see him clearly any more before he desperately tries to kill him. There are so many really silly plot twists like this, where people do completely daft things that are just done to prolong the story, but they are done with no sense of realism or common human intelligence. But I, like many others, let it pass because I have been on this ride for so long now that I just got to see it through to the end, if I live that long.

Wow - I love this Walking Dead Series!
To be honest, I was losing interest in TWD and I was in two minds whether I should continue with it. I am glad I made the decision to order this series because it is very, very good! There is a lot going on in every episode. There is lots of walker activity, the on-going war between Rick's group and the Saviours. Negan does not dominate this series as much as he did the previous one - he had just about the right amount of screen time, and the series reveals a bit more about the seemingly duplicitous Jadis and her back story. There is tragedy (losses of characters we love) but also great hope for the future. I really enjoyed this series so much more than the previous two series and it really is worth watching if you a TWD fan or if you just fancy something different.

I survived the apocolypse
Went to Spain on holiday. Episode 16 did not record on my sky box. Panic over. Amazon to the rescue. Watched last night.Had to say the roller coaster that is Walking Dead had somehow become in part maybe of my psyche over the years. I have lived with Rick and his followers, felt the pain and suffering, cried and laughed with them. The writers have had me from the first episode. The shocks and there have been many especially the opening meeting with Negan and Lucille had me feeling terrible frightening dark emotions and blew the entertainment media away.Episode 16.My god, brilliant, so many twists and turns within an hour of watching. It had me high low, had me crying and laughing. Good v Evil doesn't exist. All this played out in the grey zone. This is the most exciting climax to the most fantastic piece of drama ever to reach our viewing.
