Solid once installed. Handle nut was included. PITA to install. I was very annoyed to find the hole furthest to left didn't line up. I had to take it off the car and drill it out about 1mm to the left. Also why would the "professional" installation not include cutting about a 1/2 inch wide 8 inch long slot out of the plastic shroud on the passenger side? It took about 5 minutes at the end reinstall. And why have SAE and metric hardware? These issues make it seem like a cheep Chinese import off Aliexpress. If I had it to do over I would go to with the Curt hitch for a few more dollarsEdit to add another issue I had with the install instructions. It said to remove the plug in the spare tire well then seal around it....WHY remove it, I drilled a hole the diameter of the bolt. Then I put RTV on the threads just where it contacted the plug

Install - 3 issuesYou have to remove a plastic cover that keeps road debris out of the fuel evaporative emissions system. The directions say to discard the cover, however you just need to cut out a little section of it and you can reuse it. They should have provided a template to cut it out instead of just saying to toss it.The 2 bolts holding the muffler hanger are originally kind of pointed to aid in getting the bolts into the hole easily, and the kit comes with 2 new bolts and they do not have this feature so it’s a pain to get them in.There is a bolt going through the spare wheel well and the kit comes with a piece of steel with a square cut out in it to hold a carriage bolt. The piece of metal is way too big to fit in the flat spot in the wheel well so it would sit flat, I had to cut the metal piece short so it sat flat. It also needs to be sealed off from debris and exhaust entering the trunk and doesn’t come with anything to do so.Function - I bought this to hold a bike rack. It seems as if the hitch could be up a few more inches than it is. It is so low that the bike rack will definitely bottom out on grade changes and bumps so to me this hitch is useless and I would return it if it weren’t already installed.

Bought for installing on a 2013 VW Jetta This was a bit of a P.I.T.A. to install. A couple of holes did not line up and had to be filed to make them wider. Another thing I don't understand is why an essential part required for installation was not included with the hitch (*handle nut M12) says not included in the paper instructions, as this part is used to bolt the right top of the hitch to the car frame. Tried calling a couple of local trailer supply stores, which had no idea what we were talking about, only the literal handle attached to a nut part. Luckily, we were able to improvise and cut and weld parts together to make the needed "handle nut." The paper instructions weren't great either and really only serves as a parts check-list. Videos from etrailer were much more helpful as this was what made us realize we were missing a part. Other than those factors, installation was pretty straight forward. It's a solid hitch that does not hang as low as I thought it would. Packaging could have been better too, as it arrived in only shrink wrap and was pretty dinged up on the ends because of this, not that it matters much since is goes on the bottom back of the car.

Dealer said it was listed but he could not get one anytime soon. Amazon came through with the same hitch at a better price. I did have the hitch shop install it (I am 80 and no longer work under cars). He said it was a perfect fit and bolted right up. This is a very nice hitch for a Jetta TDI, and lets me mount either my bike rack or pull around my 15' wooden peapod. Couldn't ask for better. Paint was a little thin so I sprayed on a couple of extra coats before having it installed but I don't consider that a problem. Highly recommend this hitch

Got this for my 2012 Jetta Sportwagen TDI. Fit great, install was a piece of cake with the provided tools and hardware. Their website has an install video too! Using this with a 4 bike hitch rack and it has performed flawlessly!

Instructions are almost okay.They have 3 sheets and who knows how many languages. They should have made 1 sheet a big illustration showing all of the details. Instead each sheet has a micro illustration. But it fit and I figured it out. You can notch the passenger splash shield and reinstall it. I did not remove the trunk floor plastic plug. I just match drilled a 1/2" hole in it and put the bolt through using the backing plate with sealant. I think that it will be fine.Jim

Hitch doesn't fit standard bike racks and is rated for 200lbs, not the fully The hole on my Yakima bike rack would not line up with the holes on this hitch, because the hitch didn't allow the rack to be plugged in far enough it blocked it from reaching it's necessary depth. This hitch also aimed downward after professionally installed leading to a rack that constantly grinds against the ground after so much as a speed bump despite how slow I went.

Solid once installed, but Pain. In.T.A to install. Be prepared to work and not get frustrated with the fishing wire. Also, you may not want to discard the plastic cover as mentioned. It keeps debris out of the evaporator canister. Just cut it only takes a few minutes.

Fit as required.Keep note, that in shipping one of the catch bolts that goes into to frame, fell out of the packaging onto the purolator truck floor. Luckily the driver had it for me.Make sure before mounting to match the bolts to the nuts/carriers.Overall, good product and fast delivery from vendor. Recommended

This could have easily been designed to fit tighter to the car. It hangs down a mile and looks poorly crafted.

Great hitch everything fits perfectly but you need two person at least to install it. Instructions are good but it could be more “cleaner”.

Fairly easy install. Only problem is that it is way too low on an mk6 Jetta. It hits hard on every speed bump or even leaving a parking lot with the slightest inclination...
