Crassula Capitella Red Pagoda | (2 inch Bare Root)

Just arrived yesterday and I'm very impressed w/ the quality & size. The packaging was very well done & the plant was in perfect condition w/ very healthy roots. I didn't expect it to look like the photo, b/c the item clearly states the red color photo is for reference of how it can look in full sun, then states what your item will look like when it arrives, w/ photos. Those reviews that complain it's not red like the photo clearly didn't read through the item description. I was skeptical about buying plants here, but I thought I'd give it a shot & I'm not disappointed. I will update w/ new photos after I've acclimated it to sunlight.

I wish I could give negative stars. I should have known this was a problem when the plant I received looked absolutely nothing like the photo of the plant I ordered. I already have a plant like this one and was looking for something different. But I decided to go with it and put it in a pot and set it on the owl planter with three other (healthy) succulents. A few days later I went to rotate the planter and this plant is dead. This is what it looks like less than a week later. I am very disappointed. I have ordered from Succulent Box before and their plants are healthy and happy, months later. Maybe I need to order directly from them rather through Amazon.

I delayed ordering this item for several days because of some negative reviews. I really wanted this Crassula Capitella and the price was not bad. I ordered it the 12th of the month and it arrived the 15th. What a surprise. The plants were neatly packaged and in very good condition. there were 3 plants, the roots looked strong and healthy. I potted them right away and today, 1 week later, they look healthy and striving wonderful. Yes, I am really happy that I did not let some of the reviews influence me.

They came a little limp, but I put them in dirt and moistened the dirt. 1 has started to firm up. The other looks like it will too they came with quite a few roots about an inch or so long. I think they’ll survive

This is so cool I ordered another one!! I kept it out of direct sun the first 3-4 days and it really took off as soon as I potted it. It’s going closer to the south window today because I’m seeing a lot of red already! Thanks for shipping this very interesting plant so quickly! Can’t wait for the next one!Thanks!

It came all stretched out. Poor growing by seller. It’s still a plant and I love plants; but it looks NOTHING like it’s supposed to. Compare my picture to theirs. Am I right?I can’t find how to return it or ask for a refund.I am adding to this review. I have had the plant for over a month now. And while it still doesn’t look like the picture it has grown twice it’s size with new growth coming from where the leaves meet the stalk. The one in the middle I purchased from a different seller. It was about the size of the other two when I got it and was a single stalk…they grow FAST.Looks very promising.Growth through the summer. Updated to 3 stars.

Deceptive presentation of said plant. Is it a Crassula? Yes ... but NOT a Red Pagoda. Feeling slightly "ripped off" as I know my plants and I KNOW succulents. Though the plant arrived in decent shape (I chose bare root), it is healthy and growing like a wild child! But it is NOT a Red Pagoda/Shark's Tooth. Purchased on March 18, 2018, arrived in 2-days, immediately potted with the proper growth medium for succulent/cactus and the little 'bugger' took off. I acclimatized it to sunlight and now it spends most of its time in full sun. I live in the Southwest, we get tons of sun! And still, no pinking up and no reddening. For the expense, meh. For the fact that it's a living entity and doing great, WooHoo! Plant gets 5-stars for heroic efforts to grow and prosper but my review remains @ 2-stars for deception and expense of a single bare-root product. Image is recent, brought the little guy indoors for his photo shoot .... :)

I don't have any experience at growing plants! I gave it a try with succulents and cactus plants. This plant is growing and looks very healthy. I have even put some cuttings in my nursery planter to try to get more plants. I can't wait to see if they grow!
