This Iwork Wrist Rest Pad totally abated my Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Pain!

The wrist rest is 5½" long, with a plastic base (with two rubber strips to prevent it from sliding around) - and two foam "wings" to rest your forearm on (left or right). BUT the cleverest part of the design is the "valley" for your median nerve - which means that there is ZERO Pressure on your wrist; your nerve just "floats untouched" above that valley.Like most people, I spend 5-6 hours a day on the computer, updating figures and running reports - and then going home to play video games for another 2-4 hours - and my CTS pain came and went; I wore the "forearm strap," which lessened - but never eliminated - the soreness. And I found that I just couldn't work wearing that "wrist & fingers glove." Well, about six months ago, my old Case Logic Gel wrist rest went flat, and I took a chance on this IWork rest, and have been using it ever since: I am happy to report that my wrist pain is completely gone! I mean, I don't even think about it anymore - no twinges, nothing! Oh, and the Memory Foam has not deflated in the least -still very firm, but not uncomfortably so. I just bought three more of these, as Xmas presents.Hence, I can wholeheartedly recommend this product!(Should I mention here that I was neither paid nor compensated in any way for writing this review? Because I wasn't.)

Not used for the intended purpose--but perfect.

Full Disclosure: I am not using this as a wrist rest, but I am still very impressed with the quality and durability of the product. As a professional photographer, I spend a lot of time with my camera resting on a table between shots (I do a lot of restaurant photography). When I bought a battery pack for my camera, I noticed that when I set the camera down on a table, the lens would make the camera lean forward on the lens. I was worried that I might damage the lenses and camera doing this over time, so I wanted to find something that could support the lens when I set the camera down. This wrist rest is PERFECT!The material and foam padding is super smooth and super soft, so I have no hesitation resting my lenses on it. It goes into my kit bag and it provides extra cushioning for the camera as well. The plastic on the bottom has rubber strips that keep it from sliding. All in all, it's a perfect solution for a purpose it was never intended for!

Size Mouse Wrist Rest, Iwork Wrist Rest Pad for Easy Typing Pain Relief Keyboard

I have learned it depends on what kind of mouse you have and the arch of the mouse. My wrist pad works better with the side ball mouse. It keeps my hand and wrist straight. I still use my gel ball to relax my fingers after being on the computer and editing for a bit. It stops my finger joint from being stiff the gel ball that is. I attached pictures so you can see the positioning of the mouse and wrist pad. In the second picture, I show how my hand is off the mouse and just the wrist is in its position. I do not like this because then I feel it is in my wrist because my mouse has a high arch. But when I put the bottom of my hand on the wrist support and wrist on there I am able to rest my arms on the armrest of my chair as well. So you have to position your chair desk wrist support and mouse according to your body type. I have long arms and fingers but narrow (thin) hands. My business partner's hand and wrist are too big for the wrist pad. Therefore I gave the wrist support 4 stars instead of five stars.

Works well w/Kensington Expert Mouse --- better IMO than snap-on wrist rest provided by Kensington

Works well with a [stationary] Kensington Expert Mouse --- better IMO than the stiff snap-on wrist rest provided by Kensington. I've always had to slap a separate gel wrist rest ON TOP OF the not-very-comfortable snap-on (until the snap buttons break off...) wrist rest provided with the OTHERWISE excellent (unique because it's patented and carpal-tunnel-syndrome-preventive) Kensington Expert Mouse. But after having to eventually tape (and re-tape) the stiff Kensington wrist rest back onto several Expert Mice in my household (and at work), I decided after many years to try something else. So far so good. There ARE two thin rubber "feet" on the Iwork wrist rest, but they are not always enough to keep the rest from moving slightly. So on a couple of these Iwork wrist rests (seemingly identical to one of the LingsFire wrist rests, btw), I did add to the bottom a couple semi-circle pieces of "Glass Table Top Bumpers | Thin Clear Bumper Pads" to keep the wrist rest more stationary. But this has not been necessary on all of them, as it seems to be at least in part a function of the surface on which one uses the wrist rest and Kensington Expert Mouse.

Mostly ergonomic, but the cushion is too firm

The shape does a great job of 1) cradling your wrist and 2) limiting mobility of your arm. It does this while allowing free range of motion. I have no issues covering the entire screen with my mouse. One drawback. The cushions appear to be some kind of memory foam, but it's not very soft. The feel on my wrist is only slightly better than resting my wrist on my desk. It is not at all comfortable for me to leave my wrist in place for more than 10 minutes. It would be much improved if the cushion enveloped the entire lower part of the wrist rather than focusing the weight distribution on two points, left and right. It's Ok for me, but I wouldn't recommend it for anyone with moderate to severe CTS symptoms. I don't think it will give you much, if any relief.

Not squishy but in a good way

Most mouse wrist pads are just squishy and provide little support. Which is great if that's what you prefer. I prefer something with a bit more structure to keep my wrist in line and centered and that is what this does for me. It's not hard but again it's not squishy. It's right in between and for me that equals comfort.
