Sandisk 2TB Extreme PRO Portable SSD with USB4, Up to 3,800MB/s Read Speeds

I have taken to checking how much data my backup software determines it needs to copy because this SSD is blazingly fast. I routinely have large files to copy yet it finishes the job practically instantly. It feels very sturdy although I am not planning to put it to the test. It’s compact in terms of how thin it is but not so much in length. It gets only a bit warmer than the ambient temperature. I had no problems with MacOS. Good compatibility. Great value! Very happy.

Very fast and solidly built drive. Connects via thunderbolt on my m5 MacBook Pro. It’s ultra portable, I even bought a little case for it. I got the 2TB for $249 in 11/25, it’s now 6/26 and the price is $399 which is crazy, but it’s still a decent drive and worth the price, this is because of the stupid tariffs so all portable ssds are gonna be more pricey nowadays. Connectivity and compatibility is fine with a Mac, I haven’t tried with a PC yet. It mounted to my Mac just fine and I was able to partition the drive, 1tb for backups and 1tb for general storage. The drive does heat up a bit but not too hot to cause issues. Overall I think this is a great drive!

I’m getting around 3000 MBps now. Very nice. I may buy another when it goes on sale again. Originally I got slower speeds so I’m not sure what happened. Highly recommend though.

This product is great for multiple reasons: the storage capacity is decent, but the connectivity is amazing. The portability is always a plus, but the fact that it hasn't heated up despite the file transfers we've run makes this a great buy and value for the money.

Great backup solid state drive. Wish it was less expensive, but I will pay the cost for the reliability that ScanDisk always provides. I am photo artist and several years ago I lost an entire years worth of work due to a hard drive failure. That was a painful lesson that I will not repeat. The product is built well, and functions as advertised. I love its size, only downside is it does not come with its own case, given the price you pay, a portable case is not too hard an ask.

Die SSD ist der HAMMER! Ich habe es gewagt, mal etwas mehr auszugeben für eine SSD - eine mit USB4-Anschluß. Gedacht für den Einsatz an meinem MacBookPro-M4Pro. Was soll ich sagen - angeschlossen - gesehen, dass die mit exFat formatiert ist - und dann ein paar Geschwindigkeitstests gemacht mit "DiskSpeedTest" von BlackMagic. IMMER über 3.400 MB/s read wie write!! Und das mit dem "dünnen" mitgelieferten Kabel! Weil ein Rezensent schrieb, es wäre kein USB4-Kabel... Ich habe auch mit einem "richtigen" USB-4-Kabel getestet - selbe Ergebnisse 👍 Nachdem ich auf APFS (verschlüsselt) formatiert habe, habe ich die Tests wieder laufen lassen... KEIN Unterschied - nicht schneller und nicht langsamer - TOP 👍 Zum Vergleich der Größe der Hardware habe ich mal auf den Fotos meine beiden anderen SanDisk-SSDs dazugelegt - die große linke ist diese USB4-SSD. Rechts daneben die "normale" ExtremePro mit 2 TB und ganz rechts die kleine ist die 1 TB "Extreme" ohne Pro... Datensicherungen gehen jetzt mit USB4 rasend schnell - TOP 🤩

Razendsnelle 2TB disk, direct te koppelen aan je laptop/pc. Back-up (1TB) duurt slechts 3-4 minuten, supersnel. Wordt warm maar niet heel heet.
