The mattress arrived in a timely manner and adequately covered in a thick plastic cover. The delivery company Arrow XL were polite and careful.When opened the mattress had 11 dirty marks on the surface of the light coloured material which must have been done at the manufacturer's as there were no holes or tears in the cover. There were also a lot of loose threads ends and some poor stitching. The dirty black marks took quite a bit of removing and was considering returning the item for replacement.The mattress itself is quite comfortable to date but the deep depressions where the ties are take a bit of getting used to especially if previous mattress was level like mine. The mattress supports well and much better than the memory foam of my previous mattress and also not so sweaty as you get from memory foam. Side support is also good and far better than my previous Dormeo which was none existent.Overall so far pleased with the mattress would have given 5* if there was better final quality and attention to detail.

I purchased this mattress in February 2016 and I am now going to have to replace it. It has become lumpy,extremely uncomfortable with a ridge forming down the middle. We contacted the manufacturer direct but was told that the 5 year guarantee they offer on their website does not cover amazon purchases and I need to contact amazon direct, easier said than done. Very unhappy

Matresses are a completely unique thing to people. A mattress which is perfect for one can be awful for another. So leaving a review feels a bit pointless! However, this is my second Happy Beds 2000 Platinum mattress. I have one on my king size guest bed too which I used to sleep on. Everyone who has slept on the bed says how amazingly comfortable it is. After 18 months of use it hasn't sagged or gone lumpy or shown any signs of significant wear so I'm hoping this double will be the same. I suffer from hypermobility syndrome so getting a good mattress is very important. This replaced a more firm mattress that I'd only had a year. I had to sell it and buy this as it was giving me crippling back and hip pain. I'd say medium/firm feels about right. With two people sleeping on it it feels sturdy and you don't roll onto each other in the night or feel the other's movements. Overall I'm delighted with this mattress and sleep wonderfully and without any pain. It's said you should spend big on mattresses for this reason. So to get such a nice one for less than £250 is a massive bonus.

I have purchased 6 of these mattresses over the last 4 years as they've been fantastic. The recent one, although officially the the same spec and name as previous ones, seems to be of lower quality. The compoents used to make these mattresses seems to be of lower quality and I would class the mattress as medium rather than medium firm.Update June 2020 - I have has this mattress for 5 months now. The original ones form 4 years ago are still going strong and are fantastic. The recent one is less than 6 months old and is sagging and very soft. You cannot sit on the edge of the bed, without sinking to the bottom. The springs are of low quality. Avoid at all costs. A real shame as I have recommedned this mattress to over a dozen friends over the years. we also have one in the spare room and everyone who sleep on it comment on how good it is, however that is not the case with the recent ones.

Bought this mattress as it was a great deal and already had another cheaper happy bed product in use that was reportedly comfortable (flatmate).It really is incredibly deep though. There is no way standard bedding will fit. This should be made clear on the description. I have had to keep due to turn around times for flatmates but we could not use in the bedroom it was originally planned for as it was just far too large, it swamped the room.Be warned! I am now going to have to spend money on new mattress protectors and special deep sheets to fit it!

This mattress is very disappointing, it is advertised as medium firm and it is certainly not. After looking up how to look after my mattress to get the best out of it (because it came with no instructions) I followed it. You should rotate every week and flip every 3months, which I did, the mattress has developed two dents down each side where my husband and I sleep, and the mattress has gone very soft. I would like manufacturers details so I can get advice.

Bought only 2 years ago - is now sagging at the sides all around the edges, has gone lumpy and feel springs etc through the fabric, very uncomfortable, has been like this for some time.will not bother contacting the company re the fictious 5 year guarantee (see other reviews)will not be using this company again !!!

Purchased for my son who prefers a softer mattress than orthopaedic. Not a problem with this mattress-its supportive but not hard. I bought him a mattress topper for added comfort and he says its the most comfortable mattress he can ever remember owning. Delivery was quick but its not next day. Delivery date is not confirmed until purchase confirmed. Personally I would think twice before ever buying a mattress from a shop again. The savings are too great to dismiss.
