Great protective rubber layer for my fence post!
I am very happy with the way this product worked in protecting my fence post. I was very surprised that one small can was plenty for what I needed and now I have the second can for a future project. The liquid rubber was easy to apply and it is definitely durable and it sealed my wood from moisture. I was pleased with the cost because it’s reasonably priced and I feel like I got my money worth for this product.

Great for fixing leaks
I got this to patch up a leak in my shed roof. It went on smoothly and adhered well. After the first rain, not a drip to be seen.

Product Review: Liquid Rubber Coating Sealant Clear (7.7 FL. OZ)I recently had the opportunity to use the Liquid Rubber Coating Sealant Clear, and I must say, I am quite impressed with its performance. This product, touted as an MS-Polymer, is marketed as waterproof and UV resistant, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. Having used it for a few projects, I can confirm that it lives up to its claims. One of the standout features of this sealant is how easily it applies. The consistency of the formula allows for a smooth and even coat, which is crucial when you’re looking for a professional finish. I appreciated how user-friendly it was; even for someone who might not be an expert in DIY projects, this sealant made it easy to achieve a consistent layer without any fuss. After allowing it to dry, I tested its waterproof capabilities. I was pleased to find that it held up well, effectively sealing areas where moisture could have been a concern. This is particularly important, especially if you are using it in damp or variable weather conditions.Another element worth mentioning is its solvent-free nature. This feature not only makes it safer to work with indoors, but it also minimizes the harsh chemical odors typically associated with other sealants. This means I could work without worrying about ventilation, which is a significant plus. Moreover, the product is transparent, blending seamlessly with whatever surface you are applying it to, which is aesthetically pleasing. I can see myself using this sealant for various projects without worrying about the finish detracting from the overall look.In summary, I’m very pleased with the Liquid Rubber Coating Sealant Clear. Its ease of application, waterproof properties, and solvent-free formulation make it a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a reliable coating solution. Based on my experience, I would definitely buy this product again and highly recommend it to others. Whether you’re sealing up outdoor fixtures or tackling indoor repairs, this sealant could be just what you need.

First impressions and additional information.
What it's made of: synthetic rubbers are typically made of long chain molecules with either a carbon or silicone (Si-O) backbone. The manufacturer is keeping details close to the vest, stating that it is made of "MS polymers". Apparently MS stands for "Micro Sealing." Based on the manufacturer's safety data sheet, this product appears to be mostly carbon with some silicon-based molecules in the mixCuring: 24hrs/one millimeter thick coat. A second millimeter coat can be applied in as little as 6 hours. All must be used within a week of opening can, suggesting it is air cured.Incompatible with silicone, uncured asphalt and bitumen. Interestingly, a bit of water actually assists the curing process and it is specifically stated that it does not matter if the surface it's applied on is damp. That could be an advantage depending on the application.Coverage: "up to 7 sq feet" (presumably for a 1mm thick layer).Cost: about twice as much as the common solvent-based competitor, per sq. foot of coverage.Safety: The safety data sheet (at least for the white version) is available on the manufacturer's web site. VOC's and smell are significantly less than better known competitors, and while no solvents are used, there are still potentially hazardous substances. Pregnant women are cautioned to avoid the uncured product.Coloring the product: HSS (the manufacturer) is apparently coming out with a coloring kit. I'm going to do some limited tests on my own with a variety of pigments to see how the product handles being dyed. In the meantime, the liquid rubber is available in transparent or in a limited number of colors. The white version lists titanium oxide (a white pigment) as an ingredient. Iron oxide powder, obtained from Amazon, will be among the colorants I try out.I should be able to update this review with results in a week or two.

Does what it needs to do.
I have a sun room with a glass roof that was leaking at a few seams. I had initially sealed it with silicone but those seals didn't last all that long. When I saw this and that it was clear, I decided to give it a shot. When I first saw how small the can was, I thought that it wasn't going to be enough but it was. It brushes on smoothly and doesn't require all that much to seal a seam. I coated about 1/3rd of the roofs seams and still had over 1/2 a can left so a little goes a long way. Keep in mind that this is liquid rubber so any brush being used is going to be a single use item. I used one of those cheap $2 brushes from the big box store and it applied the coating perfectly. At the end I just threw the brush away and was good to go. So far, multiple heavy rains and not a drop has leaked in so far.

Can be used for other things also
I actually used this as a way to change the color some interior car parts. The parts were old and had some type of rubberized coating on them already that had been scratched over time and look worn. I sanded the parts down and used this to recolor and repair. Looks good again.
