An enduring fall ankle boot that’s part chukka and total mod. Featuring stitch ’n turn technology, which basically means the shoe bends and flexes to the max with each step. Front zipper and a wedge heel are perfect for power walking through your day. Zipper closure. 1½” heel.

great so far, but sizing up for thick socks a little weird
So far I'm pretty pleased with these, but they have a few interesting sizing things I wanted to mention in case it would be helpful to anyone else. I bought these for an upcoming trip to Europe in the winter as my nicer looking but still comfortable/functional option in addition to heavy duty boots. My hope was to find something I could wear with both pants and a skirt or dress that I could also wear thick wool socks in bc I get cold really easily. That's not exactly what these booties are designed to do, but I still think I'll be able to make that work. BUT, if you want the perfect fit, I think you'll want to get your actual size and not wear thick socks. I went up half a size and I can fit a medium thick sock in it, but part of the zipper is a little tough to get up, which made me worried that it was simply too tight--except that when it's fully zipped it doesn't feel too tight at all! It's comfortable when on, but I am a little concerned about potential premature wear on the zipper, so I'll be keeping an eye out for that. The other consequence of sizing up is that the top of the boot around the ankle is a little higher on my ankle that it is strictly designed to be. (Note that the circumference is actually quite good--it doesn't cling uncomfortably to my ankle but it also doesn't flare egregiously and ruin the silhouette of the leg, so I'm very happy with that.) The top of the boot being a little too high doesn't seem like it will be a dealbreaker bc of the thick socks to cushion it, but I may get an insert that lifts my heel a little higher. All told, I need to wear them more to give a full review, but I like them and think I can make them work for my specific needs, but the specifics of the sizing are something I think people should know, in case they were also looking to use them non-traditionally.

Finally a heel that doesn’t hurt!!!
I freaking love these shoes! I’ve had multiple surgeries on my foot and never thought I’d ever be able to wear any sort of heel again. Bought a pair of jeans that I love but were a bit too long, bought these to wear with them... I can and have walked for hours wearing these. Even without having worn ANY shoe with a heel for at least 5 yeas. No idea why these don’t hurt my feet like every other shoe with a heel I’ve ever worn, but these are like magic.

Cute and comfortable!
I needed a comfortable shoe with travel in mind. I wanted comfort, style and something easy to take off when going through security. If you have a wide foot this may not work for you as they narrow to a point at the toe. I’m normally a size six in sneakers but I ordered a five and a half because my ankles are skinny and ankle boots like funny on me, but these are perfect for my fit.

Multiple repeat purchase
I have purchased 4 pairs of these ankle boots. Walked endlessly all over Japan in these boots. They are probably one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever had. And I'm old! The style gives good support, they stretch a bit if necessary but bounce back (elastic maintains resilience) when your ankles do. Zipper solid. You'll be happy!

Zipper hard to move, but very attractive shoe
Nice dark, soft black suede & actually look a little more stylish than the pictures. I did order up 1/2 size so that I could insert memory foam pads & wear socks. This works, but they are loose in the heel, so I added foam heel guards. Even with all this, I can still wiggle my toes. They are tight across the top of my foot, even without all the padding that I added- you can unzip a little to ease this discomfort. And the zipper is the reason for 4* instead of 5, as it's very difficult to slide up & down, so I am concerned about the longevity of this shoe. I will update later when I do start wearing them out, but for right now, they are comfortable enough around the house & do look good.

Great color, sadly weird fit on my feet.
For most shoes, I’m a true size 9, but my foot is a little wide and has a high arch, so depending of the brand and type of shoe/bootie, I will buy 1/2 size bigger, like in Naturalizer. But Patagonia, Aerosoles and Merell size 9 usually fit me perfectly. And if I want to wear socks, I always buy 1/2 size bigger. I thought these size 10 with thick socks would be perfect, but they’re really too large and somehow they fit funny on my foot, I think someone mentioned something like old lady shoes, and that seems like a good description. I’ve been an absolute fan of Areosoles for 25 years now (honestly! I bought my first in 1994 I think!) and I just got a couple other style booties of theirs that I truly love, but these are a no-no for me. I’m returning them, sadly. The green color is gorgeous! I also think aérosole should make their sole thicker in the front part of the boot. These don’t really isolate the foot from a freezing ground. I wish Aerosoles would repeat one of the first winter pairs I got, which were easily 3/4” thick in the front and looked great.

Perfect witch/fall booties
These booties are exactly what I need for my witch attire that runs half of sept to mid nov. I was afraid like most booties they would rub at the ankle (top of the boots) but the fabric is so soft- like wearing house slippers. The bottom is like a rubber all the way around- their not slippery on tile or wood floors. I wore these the first time during a 8 hour work day- I stand for about half the time and aside from how cute they are you just want to look at them, you couldn’t tell you were wearing them. They look narrow in the photos but I buy regular size 8 and they were perfect with no discomfort at the toes. They are a little $$ I hope they hold up.

Length is good, I don't like where the top of the ...
I have a narrow heel and wide forefoot. These are large in the heel with very little room in the toe box and are very tight throughout the rest of the foot. The zipper is hard to zip over the middle of my foot but I can pull the shoe off due to the play in the ankle. A size up or wider would make these too big. Length is good, I don't like where the top of the boot hits my ankle. Cute though with a low heel, and dressier looking than I expected.

Bon achat
