Love this!
Unmeat products are the best plant based food products on the market! I am a huge fan of the chili, tuna flakes, luncheon burger flavored meat and roast beef (all plant based) products sold by Unmeat.

Enjoyable texture and good flavor
I love the flavor of chili but I’m one of those people who just can’t stand the texture of ground beef in any form. This is the perfect solution for me. The little “un-meaty” pieces were soft and easy to chew, and of course have no off-putting surprise gristle or bone bits. The pieces don’t get as stuck in my teeth, either. The kidney beans were soft and plentiful and the skins weren’t tough. The overall flavor was pleasant; not quite as heavy on the bbq sauce flavor as I like, but I added just a dash of sugar to the chili and that did it for me. It was also good with the reserve sharp cheddar I melted on top. Highly recommend. It warms quickly, and I got two meals out of it. It was easy to digest. While it made sense to order a single can initially, I’m glad to see the cans offered in a pack of 12 on Amazon as well and this is what I plan to reorder: https://www.amazon.com/unMEAT-Plant-Prepare-Protein-Calories/dp/B0CMTCJMNM

Really good for canned chili
This is a 15 ounce pop-top can of plant based chili with beans, from UnMeat. It arrived in perfect condition and factory sealed. I make a lot of homemade chili, but it's great to be able to find quality canned products for when things are too busy to make my own. I am neither vegetarian nor vegan, but I choose to eat plant based meat substitutes pretty frequently because I really enjoy them, so I was happy to have the chance to try this chili. Opening the can, it looks just about identical to every other canned chili, which is pretty impressive since this is plant based. It has beans in what I consider to be a good ratio compared to the amount of meat substitute. I was worried there would be too many beans but that was not the case. The texture of the meat substitute is excellent. It would be difficult to tell it wasn't meat. I thought the seasonings were very good as well. It's got just enough spicy kick to it, and you can definitely taste the cumin and other seasonings as well. The can is only 420 calories, has a reasonable amount of sodium for a canned food, and a whopping 32 grams of protein. My only small complaint is that it is too tomato-forward. Some tomato in chili is expected, but in this the first ingredient is tomato sauce. I feel like to be a proper chili it would be better for the sauce to be more chile paste and less tomato. Nevertheless, this is probably one of the top two or three canned chilis I've ever had, and much better than any of the big name meat based chilis. I also really appreciate the company's commitment to environmental sustainability.

Not bad, cures that chili craving.
I'm not picky about chili, but I do like food. This chili is good for premade canned chili. There are so many spices and with the beans in it, you can't really tell the difference between bean or "meat". I mean it's kinda like that with real chili too. It's really more of a texture thing. The unmeat in this hits the texture note, and it tastes like chili. The chili flavor itself works great by itself, and when I made chili dogs with it, it really hit the spot. For me, it wasn't too spicy, but it does have a little heat. Overall if this is a great alternative for your vegan friends and you can't be bothered to make your own chili. I would like to try the unmeat by itself though.
