White SiliconeTubing, 1/4"ID, 1/2"OD, 1/8"Wall, 10' Length

The product itself was OK but it's pretty ridiculous that they don't say you will get separate pieces that add up to 10 ft.. If I order 10 ft., I expect to get 1 piece that is 10 ft. long not one that is a little under 9 ft. and 1 that is a little over 1 ft.. They do not say that in the description. If you used that method they could send you 120 pieces that were 1" long and say you got 10ft..

Very unhappy with this purchase. I ordered a 10ft length of silicon tubing and received 2-lengths of tubing instead, 1-5ft length and 1 4ft10inch length. If you actually expect to get what you order (a full 10 ft lenght in this case) make sure you do not use this supplier.

This is just the item I was looking for !. Another buyer, in his feedback , stated he was using this tubing for a gravity water filtration system combined with the SAWYER water filter . The tubing is much lighter than than the tubing most commonly used n a Platypus water system . It does not kink and can be rolled up into a small package , taking up less room in my backpack ! Most importantly, this tubing is "Food and Water grade" . Just the ticket !! I recommend its use , for its packability and lightness . Great for us weight conscious backpackers . I hope other hikers find this review helpful. Great product , thank you for offering same !!

This large diameter tubing is great. We use it for our beer brewing system. We had previously used a smaller diameter tubing, and the walls were so thin that the tubing would collapse when we turned our pump on. With this thick walled stuff we can run our pump at full power and the lines are fine.

I bought this 3/8" ID, 1/2" OD, 1/16" wall silicone tubing to replace the primary solution-feed tubes in an old Hoover SteamVac Deluxe. (I believe I have the original model. At any rate, Hoover no longer stocks replacement tubing for it.) One of the original tubes popped off its connector nozzle, possibly because I use very hot water, probably because it became permanently stretched out at the tip, with age, and almost certainly because it was cut to the *absolute bare minimum length* at the factory. (When I opened up the SteamVac and saw how short the tube had been cut, I was *amazed* it hadn't popped off within the first few uses.) My main motives for choosing this type of tubing for a replacement were high temperature rating, flexibility, and resilience.I haven't had a chance to test the repair yet, but I'm not anticipating any problems. In fact, I expect it to perform better than before. The silicone rubber is stickier than than the original tubing, so it will probably stay seated on the connector nozzles better. (The cleaner solution is gravity-fed from a one-gallon tank and only applied to the carpet a couple/few seconds at a time, so I'm not too worried about ballooning at the nozzle, leading to the tube popping off. In the unlikely event that *does* happen, I should be able to fix the problem with a mix of hose clamps and cable ties. And if *that* doesn't work, I might eyeball the tubing path to see if tubing with a thicker wall and bigger OD would fit.) I'm also expecting (hoping?) that the silicone won't develop durable kinks/constrictions from the SteamVac being stored for long periods of time in the upright locked position, as one of the original tubes did.Obviously, I won't know for sure how well it works until I test it, but I'm optimistic. If I turn out to be wrong, I'll try to remember to add a note to this review.UPDATE: My Hoover SteamVac Deluxe works *great* with this replacement tubing. It now feeds solution out a bit more slowly than it did with the original vinyl tubing, but that's actually a good thing, since I don't have to move the SteamVac as fast as I used to to avoid saturating the carpet. If the repair doesn't hold for any reason, I'll try to remember to update this review again...

I needed to make an extended hydration bladder hose so I could mount my 3L reservoir on my front bike rack. Some Osprey quick connect ends also sold on Amazon completed basic assembly. I used 4-inch zip ties to reinforce these connections and I doubt they can be pulled off with force. They certainly don't leak.Some folks have mentioned how this silicone hose attracts dust and dirt. This is the nature of the material, which on the plus side is thick and maintains its shape better than other types of replacement hose. I solved the 'looks dirty' problem by spiral-wrapping black X-treme Tape around the hose. Its a protective layer, and also made of silicone so its a perfect and easy permanent connection to the hose. Xtreme tape also wears smooth with handling, and the black tape hides the dust that naturally accumulates with use.

**UPDATE (Dec 28, 2014): After using this tubing for awhile I"m still happy with my purchase. I have discovered (2) CONS, but they likely won't stop me from buying this again in the future.(1.) - As others have noted, the outside texture tends to attract hair, dirt, lint, dust, etc... It can however be (mostly) cleaned with a wet cloth or durable wet paper towel.(2.) - When used with a vaporizer this tubing tends to absorb unpleasant smells after only a few days and continuously release them. I can smell the tube in a sanitized environment from a several feet away. I haven't had this problem with other types of cheaper tubing, vinyl for example (I don't recommend vinyl tubing even though they will likely never get hot enough to release toxins, why take the chance?)Original Review:This is a great replacement whip for the AroMed 4.0 Vaporizer. I bought this tube for a homemade aquaponic system because it is said to be made from silicone. Apparently silicone is better than flexible vinyl or PVC since it will not let plasticizer leach into the water.However I was very surprised by the strong odor. It even have me a headache. Clearly not good quality.I would not use for beverage as suggested by the retailer or use it on my aquarium.

Way too flimsy, would not buy again. The picture is very deceiving.

Product is very stiff and not pliable at all so it was not suitable for my intended use as a replacement hose for a backcountry water filter.

Affordable compared to some others I've seen.

Exactly what I was looking for!
