Works reasonably well
I ordered this in hopes that lifting my laptop would help keep it from overheating by allowing better circulation. I've had some success with that (it still gets really warm sometimes, but not all the time), so that's good. The stand is easy to set up and feels like it's made of pretty good materials, and my laptop doesn't slide around a lot. I only use it on the lowest setting, though, so I can't speak to how secure it'll be at a steeper angle. I do wish this was a little bit wider to add a little more stability, but I was impressed by how stable it is even at this size and with my rather large laptop.

No More Overheating!
FINALLY! I'm too happy about this instrument. Until I saw this product, I was using a strip of cardboard to prop up my laptop to keep it from overheating on my desk. Now I can toss that cardboard strip out into the garage. My laptop would get very hot up against the flat surface of my desk. This overheating could not be good for the lifetime of my laptop, so I resorted to the cardboard. Well no more of that. For the good that this laptop riser does, its price is a real steal for its value. My laptop no longer overheats, so it won't need to be replaced as soon. The laptop riser's width is expandable and comes in a cute little soft drawstring pouch that fits right inside my laptop case. When not in use, it folds down easily and takes up very little space. The plush pouch protects my computer from any scratches. The height is adjustable and you're sure to find your suitable level. I am so glad that the problem of an overheating laptop is solved. Get this product and you'll solve your overheating laptop too.
