Top marks if you know what you’re getting.
Product was exactly as described, which is why I’m very happy with it. Disappointed reviewers seem to have expected something else, which is why I’m glad I looked beyond the star rating and identified what the complaints were. I purchased for a home with a dog, just in case of rare “accidents,” which as pet owners know can ruin an entire expensive rug on a single bad day, and because I wanted to dampen sound for downstairs neighbors. Some people are angry and want this to be referred to as a “mat” instead of a “rug”- which may be a real differentiation, but I think as long as you understand that this is NOT a woven piece, you can call it what you like. I got a 5’3 x 7’3 “multicolor” one, and definitely refer to it as my “rug”, because I just use “mat” for smaller sized pieces, regardless of how they’re made.It is, as stated, a pattern printed onto a short velvet-like top material, with a rubbery bottom. It has more cushion to it than I expected, which I’m very happy about (I may not need the memory-foam rug pad I was planning on purchasing). The main color to mine was more of an ivory than the grey in the seller’s photo (which I saw in other customer photos, and preferred anyway). Now that the sun is down and it’s lit only with tungsten bulbs, it does look more grey-ish, but it’s worth knowing there’s more white to it than one would expect.I purchased one, needing two, but wanted to see how I liked it before committing to another. Because it was mostly white, I ended up placing this one in a different area than I had intended because it looks better, but I just purchased a second, smaller one in blue, for the other spot I want to cover. I may end up getting a third, but I’ll wait a while to see how these hold up long-term.There was a BIT of a chemical/rubbery smell to the bottom when I first unrolled it, which is to be expected from any new item made from these materials, but it’s only detectable when your face is close to the one side, and definitely imperceptible once rolled out and placed on the floor.I have not tried washing it yet, nor have I tried running my roomba over it, but I feel confident it will be relatively easy. I will update my review if I encounter any issues.

Issues with two separate orders.
I ordered this rug twice because I needed something to protect my carpets from my dogs. The first purchase I was charged for twice and it took forever to get the refund. After it was washed a few times the top fabric shrunk and so the corners curl a bit. I just did an "order again" and was sent a completely different rug pattern. The pattern is not all that important to me so I will keep it. But good grief, two orders and both of them have had issues. I think it was over priced because of all the trouble I've had with ordering.

I was on the fence when this arrived
When I first pulled this rug out of the box, I was immediately disappointed. It was definitely more pink and blue vs red and blue. From up close (~1.5’), the print made it look cheap. It looked a little shiny. It felt like one of those cheap kitchen mats that have a thin foam cushion layer. I didn’t bother to even unroll it. But a couple weeks went by and I realized I hadn’t requested a return yet so pulled it back out and showed my husband, this time unrolling it completely. He loved it.He loved its softness and slight cushy feel. He loved the print giving some color to our dining nook. He loved that it was washable. On the floor and not with my face within a couple feet, the print did look nicer. The previously unrolled end was more red, turning to more pink at the other end. I stood on it. It did feel pretty nice underfoot. Plus, it’s going to be under a small dining table. Who’s going to be looking at it up close? In the end, the pluses overcame the negatives and I decided to keep it. Well, my husband decided and I finally came around and agreed.

Is it washable, yes! Good rug for Pet and Kid friendly homes
We got this rug after replacing the rug in our living room repeatedly due to pet messes. We wanted something that brought color into the room but was machine washable. We decided to take a chance on this rug.The backing on the rug is flexible, non-slip and mostly waterproof. This is a benefit when you have puppies and kids. The rug top is unique. It's velvety, and the design on the rug is a print. This in not a typical rug in that regard, and so when standing on it, looks like a "cheap rug" because you can see it's printed not looped or woven. The first test of washability was yesterday when the puppy had two accidents on the rug. After trying conventional clean up (absorb and enzyme treatment followed by resolve cleaner) we threw it in the large washer at the laundromat. It cleaned up great! The smells were gone and the colors stayed. To dry the rug, we hung it outside to drip for about 8 hours, then brought it indoors and draped it over a rack with fan to complete the drying. When drenched, the backing does seep water through so I would recommend fully drying the rug before laying it back down.Over all if you're looking for a fun design and washable for a pretty decent price, I recommend this rug. It's not high end, but it's practical and fun.

Gorgeous
This is very nice! I love the bright teal colors and it brightens up my dark kitchen! I LOVE THIS RUG.My cat does too, he scratches it and plays hard on it , even pulls up the edges and rolls around under it.It does not affect the rug at all as it all goes right back into place --do not need a rug mat under it --it is plenty comfy and stays put. It says it's washable but I would not try it unless you have industrial size washer for that.

More a mat than a rug but that's not all bad...
This floor covering is more a mat than a rug. It is a mat with a rug printed on it but, it is soft and doesn't slip on a tile floor. I bought it for a bathroom because it is easy to clean. The colors are beautiful and rich looking. It came rolled up and the creases fell out pretty quickly. The size was accurate and it took a little more time to receive the package. It was more expensive than I would usually pay for a mat but the colors were just right for the room. I would recommend this product.

Cheap looking rug
Doesn’t look anything like the picture. It is a very cheap looking rug. The backing is brown plastic, the colours are garish and it is very thin. Be careful if you order it and want to return. The shipping costs to return are more than the price of this awful item.
