A little confusing to setup
I got this for my 6 yr. old niece instead of spending the money on an iPod. It did not come with instructions or any kind of manual. Unless you have a USB wall charger, the only way to charge it is to plug it into your computer. Buttons are so close together that it's easy to bump the wrong one. Very easy to add songs in Windows Media Player. Haven't figured out how to set up a playlist while in Windows Media Player though... Not sure it can be done. Had to assign each song to a playlist one at a time by scrolling down the song list on the MP3 player. That being said, once I finished the setup, the menu options are great and the sound quality is nice.

hard to control
I love its appearance. And the ear pieces are really nice. But the major thing is it turns off occasionally, esp the first time I used it. It turned off after every two songs! One thing more, the unlock/lock key is so hard to use that I cannot unlock it in my pocket. I have to take it out and press down then wait the "lock" then press right. It is annoying but you will get used to.

A review based on a full year of use
Due to how long I've had this product, the review may be a bit long, but at least you get a year's worth of experience. My one year anniversary with this Mp3 player has passed (3/21/11) so I felt that I should write a review. I find that reviews made even a few weeks or months after a purchase don't give you the whole picture; after all, plenty of brands today make a lot of products that they want you to dispose of or replace after a certain amount of time. The "technology investment" idea is quickly dying out; however, I believe many still want to use their money on something that will last them a long time. Here's the quick review:Pros:-After a year, the battery still holds a nice charge; I haven't noticed anything different about how long the battery lasts per charge-Nothing is wrong with headphone jack or charger/usb jack use; nothing is loose (unfortunately, this has been a longstanding problem I've had with Apple products so I thought it would be important to put in; just my personal experience)-All buttons are still functional; nothing is stuck or loose-It can take some drops without very much wear on the casing-Even without a screen protector, the screen takes scratches wellI'm not going to talk about memory or anything like that; you know what you are buying so a con shouldn't be "not enough memory" or something like that; just buy a mp3 player with bigger memoryCons-Due to the raised placement of the On button, the mp3 tends to turn itself on and off randomly; in a pocket, in your purse; this can be easily solved with a case but eh, I'm too lazy to get one; I've found that I would leave my player in my purse for a day and go back to it at the end of the night and it's on, playing music, lol.-When playing a song there is a delay of the screen clearing at the top so you can see what playing settings the player is on (repeat, repeat one, shuffle) so that's kind of annoyingAnd finally, the one big thing, the big con about this player. You know how memory drives work; as you add and take things off, over time, drives tend to decay; lost information, drive crashes, the whole shebang. Well, the drive in this thing is decaying even after only a year of use. It's pretty frustrating; I'd say, 40 percent of the time, as soon as I plug the player into my computer, it freezes and I have to unplug it and plug it back in again, and it restarts itself. Very frustrating...I have a creative zen from 2006-2007 that hasn't done this to me not once; doesn't matter the size of the files I put on it (note: adding large amounts and taking large amounts of info off a drive all at once adds to the decay of the drive; but I have never seen this with my creative zen so I don't know about this...)SO...The memory drive does decay after 1 year of use (at least in my case) so keep that in mind when buying this; I would say that is the biggest con about the drive; I doubt I will still have this mp3 player this time next year (even though I love it!) because it will probably be broken by then from something internal to do with it's drive, I imagine but guess what? When that does happen, I'm getting another Samsung player!I've had 2 ipod nanos and they are nothing compared this player! The playlist feature isn't annoying like on an ipod nano; the notes feature is DRAG AND DROP TEXT FILES that's awesome! I get so much reading done on this thing (yeah I read on a small screen, if you don't like it, don't do it; I like it)And also, I don't know if this hasn't been improved on the ipod touch but there is no silly 1000 page limit per file with the Samsung Q3 notes feature! It's also obnoxious, but possible to read manga/comics on this with the image viewer....SO IN SHORT: it's an ok investment...at one year, things are starting to really bug out with the player but the features of this player far surpass any ipod nano I've had (first and second gen nanos, btw) and even though it doesn't last as long as I would like in the drive dept, nothing these days really does, and for the price, it's PERFECT!I hope this review helps someone make a good choice, and if you read all of this, thanks for reading, I know it's long as heck but had to be done :)
