Woodcraft Single Piece of Baltic Birch Plywood (12mm - 1/2" x 24" x 30")

I bought 2 x 4 sheets of 1/2" 24" x 30".Mail order plywood seems a bit silly to me...but I needed to build 8 rolling floor dollies and the size needed happened to be 24x30.I received really solid, high quality plywood.The dollies have been used and abused for over a year and the wood has held up.

Outrageous. Mislead intentionally by showing 4 pieces in ad.

I make panels to paint on.

I agree the wood is nice, but mine arrived with some damage. The quality of packaging may depend on how many sheets you ordered. I bought 3 sheets of 24 x 30 and they were packed together with a single layer of cardboard on either side, taped together at the edges. The tape didn't survive transit and was torn in several places, exposing the panels to open air during shipping. Fortunately there was no water damage, even though the package was left outside on a rainy day. The bigger problem is that the corners weren't protected and every sheet has at least one crushed corner. I plan to trim those off so no harm for my project, but if you need the whole sheet beware. I think a single sheet would have done better due to less weight inside the same amount of cardboard. Also, the dimensions are a bit scant- not a full 30" long nor a full 24" wide.

The most recent shipment I received of this size (approx. 12x12 note they are more accurately measured in millimeters though) was acceptable enough. Be wary of the 12x24 size however as they tend to arrive, ehhhhh, not as acceptable as the 12x12s.

I have been buying from Rockler for years and this order was up to their high standards for delivery/packaging, etc. However, the panels had numerous small unfilled voids and were slightly undersized (approx 1/4" both dimensions). Since I was building a project where the plys were exposed, I had to close the voids with wood filler on virtually every exposed cut edge before sanding. Not the 'end of the world', but could have been better.

I live in rural area, and since Baltic birch plywood is not available within 100 miles of my home, when I needed a slab for a jig I was working on I thought I would try ordering online. The product was good quality with absolutely no voids, as one would expect. It was well packaged, and arrive in great shape. It was also completely flat, which was my major concern over purchasing "sight unseen" over the Internet, since it was being used as a base for a fixture which necessitated flatness. If you are looking for a small piece of Baltic birch, I would recommend it.
