Beautiful and functional
This is an absolutely delightful mortar and pestle. Very well made and beautifully minimalistic. It is just as described in the product pictures. Obviously, being brass, it does tend to tarnish with daily use- so would need to be polished periodically. Nonetheless, it has a very nice weight to it and looks beautiful sitting on your kitchen counter. Delivery was prompt and it arrived well packaged. Totally worth it!

Wrong info given
The information related with weight of this item given on site is wrong. The small okhali weighs 750 gms and musal weighs 650 gms i. e. In Total the weight of the set is just 1400 gms i e. 1.4 kg where as on sight it is given 1.6 kg. Metal may not be brass based on the color of the product . Otherwise product is sturdy and works well.

Good quality brass and perfectly heavy to suit daily requirements. I purchased it for crushing cardamom for tea. I'm fully satisfied. The inside is smoothly finished so it is very easy to pour from into the teapot.

Yeah! It's good
This mortar and pestle set is really brass and it's heavy probably more than a kg which is a good thing as it rams the ingredients you put into the mortar efficiently.But it's not entirely scratch resistant so keep that in mind.Also keep in mind to dry it off completely after use as water leaves marks on brass that blacken it and are not easy to clean.

Good for small quantity
Good product but height could have been better. You may reduce the diameter and increase height so that the small pieces will remain inside while working...
