Hard to know how well an oil filter is doing. It installed fine. No problems at all.

Keep it all GM OEM Filter
I use this in my Camaro and seems to be the only place I can get one no. These are great and like the OEM quality. I try to keep a couple around as they go in and out of stock. Over all best filter for my first gen Camaro.

Increases oil capacity, but not the same as pf2232.
Not the biggest filter but also not as small as standard sbc filter. I normally run pf2232 which is probably about as long as I'd safely recommend without having to worry about clearance issues or bottoming out with my chevys. These filters will work for now. They are smaller than the pf2232 but only by about 1/2 or 3/4 inch and are half the price of a pf2232. Still, they do increase your oil cap, but if you're seeking a bigger one that fits sbc then go with pf2232.

Great price
Assume its a good filter because its GM oem. I used it on my 2005 Volvo - Penta 5.7 stearn drive engine. Half the price of VP filter.

Can't go wrong. Factory spends millions in research so they got to come up with something that makes sense. And I trust don't get me wrong. I still out there by premium brand filters but I think this is an excellent value for my '98 GMC Sierra two-wheel drive with a 5.7 l that kicks ass
