Sony CCD-TRV68 Hi8 Camcorder (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

I needed a camera to transfer old family video tapes to my computer so I could save the memories before the tapes went bad. I purchased this camera from Dynamite Deals, the camera came very well packaged, all the accesories and the manual were included. The delivery came in a couple of days much faster than I expected. Then when I went to plug it in everything seem to be working fine but the image would not display on my computer. I looked around the camera but I couldn't find anything wrong with it. I contacted Linda by email and she responded inmediately to my message. Turns out that silly me I was pluging the output cable in the wrong place. There is a secret door that I didn't know about. She pointed out to me the page in the manual where it talked about the video out jack, and I plugged it in and it inmediately started working. We have been watching 20 yr old videos all day from back when our kids were babies, I love this Camera it works Great! Thank you Linda and Dynamite Deals I highly recommend them!

I bought one of these from Amazon when the HI-8 camera I'd used to shoot my home movies and a HI-8 player I had both died and I needed something to use to dub the HI-8 tapes I'd recorded onto computer files. The first camera arrived and didn't work properly. Picture fuzzy and sound distorted. So I sent it back and ordered another one from Amazon. The second one worked the first time I tried it. But it was a few months before I had time to start transferring footage. When I tried to use it, the sound was distorted. Cleaned the head but didn't fix the problem. Too much time has passed to return the product so I'm out the price with no recourse. I wound up sending a HI-8 player deck I have to Sony for repair. As these were both used units, I suspect these units just don't hold up over time.

Camcorder came in good condition and can record good quality videos. Only issue with it is when I go to replay old tapes I get a blue screen. If I can fix this issue, ill give it 5 stars

Product arrived quicker than expected that's a plus.. Everything worked as expected. Got to watch some video from more than 20 years ago.

Battery will not take a charge because he switched out the battery it's not the 1 it the picture and the charger and tape is not here dam I got screwed

I am in love with this camera. The auto focus capabilities are quick and require no manual interaction. I asked the seller if they would be able to cancel my order so I can reorder with expedited shipping, but they simply upgraded my package at no extra cost. The camera is in great working condition as advertised and came with all the necessary equipment.

This was a refurbished unit, so there's always a possibility something won't work. Ours didn't work. First, it tripped a breaker right when we plugged it in. We moved it to another room and plugged it in there, but the picture was static when we put a video in it.The worst part of this purchase was dealing with the supplier. Once we notified them that the product was defective, we had to answer no fewer then 20 or 30 email with "try this" and "now try this" and "what is the serial number" (seriously? You don't document that before you send it out?)Once they finally approved the return, we are being asked to pay the freight. Total nonsense for an item that is defective.I would typically be asking for an exchange, but I do not want to deal with this vendor again.
