An Essential Product
My current build could not exist without this device. For 16 3.0 ports, there is no beating this price when you consider the ease of organization and the reliable connection that these provide. My PC is mounted on the wall, and this hub is connected to my PC via a 30 FT USB-B to USB-C connector. The 90W power supply makes it easy to charge peripherals and also doesn't feed off the PC at all, so functionality is all there; the product is extremely stable...I've never had any issues using this. I used to have the 10 port Sabrent hub, and I had the same praises for that...but of course as time goes on, I found new gadgets to play with and needed more slots. I will say, the added weight does feel great to hold, and the material feels very nice to hold, as it's kind of a brushed metal and feels very premium.

Solved my Flash Drive bulk cloning problem!
I needed to make 400 clones of a flash drive. First I bought a $250 duplicator unit from DupliM (which was a disaster) and then I tried using this Sabrent device in conjunction with a free software applicaton (imageUSB from Passmark Software). Does EXACTLY the same job, but without the erratic behavior and random error messages, all for ONE THIRD of the price, and sixteen ports instead of just ten. This solution is just as slow as the DupliM device, but as long as you're not in a huge hurry, it's a lifesaver! Certainly way easier to set up 25 batches than to manually copy to 400 USB flash drives. I can't comment on the performance in more typical situations, since I'm only using it to make multiple flash drive clones, but it seems decent. Everything seems to work as it should. Seems well made, too.

Significantly decreased desktop clutter.
Until now, I was using 2 usb hubs. One was a 2.0, the other was a 3.0. both were 4 port hubs. I never understood why sometimes data transfer was way faster than other times. Sometimes my phone would barely charge. The answer of course is that 2.0 hubs, ports and cables are about 10 times slower than 3.0 cables, hubs and ports. A 2.0 device will not be harmed by plugging it into a 3.0 port or hub. The device determines how much current to draw. A 3.0 cable plugged into a 3.,0 port also can carry significantly more current than 2.0. PROBLEM: My wireless keyboard and mouse connection became intermittent. I tried plugging the dongle into several different USB ports without success. I googled the problem again, (two days later) and saw a post about plugging the dongle into a port on the other side of the computer (laptop). I switched the dongle into a port on the other side of my desktop tower. SUCCESS!! Apparently, the problem is not is not in the hub, it is a USB conflict. My guess is that there are at least two USB buses in most laptops and my desktop. Switching the dongle to a different bus solved the conflict problem. If I ever realized that I was using a both a 2.0 and a 3.0 hub, I had forgotten. Now, I have one hub with plenty of ports. It is a great connivence to be able to simply turn a hub port on or off when removing or plugging in a new device. Buying this hub was a really good decision. Time will tell how well it holds up. I really like the of being able to turn individual port on and off. I have a Western Digital 4 TB drive a 2 TB drive and two 32 to 500 GB sd cards connected, in addition to 3 usb cables used primarily to recharge devices. They all work flawlessly. Time will tell the story about how long this hub lasts and customer service. I did take the time to register the hub which extended the warranty by a couple of years.

Fantastic! But very tight fit to get USB in.
This thing was the answer to all of my Audio problems. It does everything it’s supposed to do. Comes with a bracket to wall mount so I mounted it on the wall a couple inches above my Table. SLO from my Work Station can easily reach across and plug in or unplug and tap the On OFF Switches for each USB. Everything is absolutely perfect except for the actual fit of each USB Port. I wrecked two USB Cables trying to push so hard to get it into the USB Port it is so hard to tell if the Plug is going in the right way. Even going in the right way I have to push so hard several times the thing slipped out of the bracket and flew across the Table! It’s rugged so the thing survives but does destroy my Cables. I’m sure it will “ break in “ with use. It’s just unfortunate that I got one that has such tight tolerance for the USB Cables it’s very hard to plug in and unplug my Cables without destroying my Cables. Fortunately for me once I have mine all plugged in I should not have to unplug again ever again. Maybe to paint the place or something. But otherwise once in it should be permanent. I probably should have exchanged it but so much hassle for me to do that. I’m sure if I had gotten a ‘ good one ‘ I would be raving about how cool this thing is. Very necessary tool for doing Audio Recording and Mixing and Mastering in the Studio. No more daisy chains! This is the answer here!

Great Hub!
Great hub! I have a bunch of different dongles for my many gaming peripherals. I love the switches so I can turn the ports on and off. I have a particular headset that won't reconnect to the dongle if it goes into power save mode. I was unplugging and reinserting it multiple times a day. Now I just flip the switch for that port and I'm back in business. It's a little thing, but I also love that it comes with a separate power brick instead of having a huge plug connecter on the end. Makes it way easier to plug into my surge protector. The hub is much smaller than I expected from the product pictures. That's a good thing as it doesn't take up much space. Great purchase for my needs and it can handle all my devices simultaneously since it's powered.

Great item to help unclutter your desk
I don’t know how I’ve gone all this time without one of these. Setup was simple. Just plug the power pack to an outlet then connect the USB plug to your computer and you’re done. My desk is now less cluttered with wires everywhere and I love that I can turn things on and off with just a button push.

One dead port drove me crazy - Solved
This is my third hub. I bought it because the first two did what I needed. I couldn’t figure out why my iPad wasn’t charging. I tried multiple known good cables with no joy. Finally, I took the known good cable attached to my iPad and tested all 16 ports. The number 3 port was dead (and, yes, I made sure the mule light was on). UPDATE 7/17/2028: After contacting customer service, a replacement hub is being shipped to me, and I don't have to have the hassle of returning the defective one. I upgraded to 5 stars for good customer support and a good product. Unfortunately, I didn’t do my test until the return window was closed. Since the other 15 ports are working - for now - I guess I’m stuck using it.

Buttons only severs power, data stays connected always
These were almost perfect except that the little buttons only disable power and retain data connection. One of the hubs we received was attempted to be repaired except the super glue someone used kept the button in the up position. They also accidentally dripped the super glue in a few places.

Perfecto.

Excellent, but not for novices.
Product works as described, but birth-pains are to be expected. Use AI to sort out problems. 1) Logitech USB dongles for mouse and keyboard did not work for me. The hub was too electrically noisy. I had to mount them on end of a one meter USB2 cable to move them away from the hub. 2) The mounting system works, but requires watchmaker skills. The backplate attaches to the hub with 0 or possibly 00 screws (ie << 1 mm diameter). The female thread is only about 1.6 mm deep and it is aluminum. Extreme care is needed to prevent cross threading &/or stripping. But, on a positive note, it does have an attachment system - very few others do. And it does work, if you can avoid wrecking the threads. 3) The Sabrent HP-PU16 hub only delivers 1.1A to each port, despite being advertised as USB3.0. That may not be enough to run some USB3 devices like external mechanical drives, unless they have their own power supply. Furthermore, the total power budget of the hub is capped at 90W spread across 16 ports, so check your power requirements before you buy. 4) The On/Off switches and indicator LEDs are quite useful for debugging USB problems. And, external USB mechanical drives can be switched off after a backup to keep them air-gapped, in case of a ransomware attack. And their lifetime may be increased by keeping them off when not needed. 5. Port numbers would be helpful. All in all, a very useful product but expect a bit of growing pains.
