The Baby-Sitters Club Retro Set (Books #1-6) Paperback – August 28, 2018

I'm 39 and when I was in elementary school, I loved reading Babysitter's Club books! I had so many, but once I outgrew them, I donated them. I wish I hadn't done that, but I was thrilled to find this retro set with the original covers! My daughter is 11 and we have been reading them aloud together; so much nostalgia! I've seen Babysitter's Club books in the store, but they have horrible sketch covers. Nothing beats the old covers!As far as the stories are concerned, they're wholesome and nothing inappropriate in them. Since these were written in the 80s, we often laugh about some of the fashion descriptions or talk about how different things were back then versus now; like not having a no caller ID or internet. My daughter is around the ages of the girls in the books, so she finds a lot to relate to in these. "Claudia and the Phantom Caller" was my favorite as a kid, so I'm happy it's in the set and the books piggyback off the previous one. We read a few chapters a night and she's always asking to read more. For us 80s/90s kids, it's so exciting to share these with a new generation.

My granddaughter was excited to receive the books for Christmas!

Bought this for my 10 yo niece for Christmas and i was ecstatic when she asked for it since i remembered loving these books as a kid myself. She (and i) loved the fact that these look like the original books! She got down to reading them immediately and is looking forward to more. It's so great to be able to bring this great series to a new generation!

Came and describe. Nothing was missing and all the books were intact as described in the listing.

Read reviews prior to buying this for grand daughter,, and was hesitant due to them saying pages were missing in the book and tin was damaged. I had no such experience. The tin was perfectly fine, cute and colorful. Arrived timely and so far we've not seen any missing pages of the books. Grand Daughter and parents were very happy with it's presentation.

I got this for my granddaughter's birthday and she loved it.
