FAIRY MAIDEN WATER FOUNTAIN

I bought the first one of these from Amazon in March of 2012, and not only do we love it for its sound and beauty, but our grandchildren and their friends are enthralled by it. But perhaps most important, the birds from doves to tiny humming birds treasure it. The humming birds like to drink water in midair, without touching down, and this fountain works perfectly for them. Over time I have had to replace the pump and some of the tubing. But it is the heavy algae buildup and a break in the back of the nymph’s head, directing water off to the side, that finally led me to buy a second one this month.The new one is the same, however packaging, while OK, was not truly robust enough for such a delicate object, and one of the shells arrived damaged. Not enough to return it, but certainly disappointing. So I took photos of the damaged shell and the area of the box with damage and sent them to the vendor, recommending a deduction in the price as a result. The vendor exceeded expectations by choosing to refund half the cost. Truly excellent service!

I bought this fountain from a different supplier. It arrived quickly and was packaged well. Easy to put together (3 pieces plus pump). Looks just like pictured. Water sounds lovely. Not a lot of splashing. A lovely addition to my garden!My only complaint is that it is very light weight. I wouldn't recommend leaving it out during the windy season. I plan to put it away for the winter months.

Updated 9/12/13. Water pump failed after 3 months, I called customer service and got an answering machine.Original 6/22/13. I like this fountain, it is really pretty and very easy to setup. Two things you need to know tho. It does not have a timer so you will have to either buy one or unplug when you want to turn it off. And it is not designed to be sturdy, it's very lightweight being made of molded plaster or something like that and it's top heavy, the base is not big enough to support it in heavy wind. I pounded a 2x2 pole into the ground and mounted the base on it for support. hope that helps anyone.

Bought this for my mother and We LOVE it!Set it up beside her front door, and it is so nice! Looks Much Heavier than it is. The sound of the fountain is a nice greeting as guests arrive at the door, and as we depart from the door. It is not loud but a nice cover to the otherwise noticeable street noise.Could not have been Easier to put together! One try and it was together, add water and... plug it in!Do be careful about reaching inside the unit to help pull the cord through. After I did that, I realized it is fiberglass and I still have a sliver in my hand from the inside encounter.I Highly recommend this fountain... Mom's Cat... does not give the same endorsement. He is not a fan of the sound of water.

This item was received on time and it is very beautiful and looks great in my garden patio. Unfortunately, after only one week of use, the coating on the basin started to peal off. I did not realize the fountain had a coating that appears to be like latex. I am very disappointed as I have been looking for such a fountain for a long time. I will be returning it.

Do not buy this. I bought this to replace one similar that died of old age after 15 years. This is very poorly designed. The base is too small, making fountain top heavy. The joint between the bowl and the angel is below the lip line, meaning you can not fill bowl to capacity. Bowl is smaller than in appears in photos. Angel is paper thin and when my dog pushed over fountain while drinking, the angel shattered into about 25 pieces. TERRIBLE VALUE. DIED AFTER 3 WEEKS.

just love the Fairy Maiden Home Garden Centerpiece Water Fountain. I have this piece in the front lawn surrounded by flowers. The picture does not show all the details of the Fairy Maiden Water Fountain, but believe me when I tell you, it is beautiful. I was wondering before purchasing this beautiful water fountain, how will the water pump work? will it flow as a stream of water or just drip. Well let me tell you, it flows! best purchase ever on a water fountain, and believe me I have paid much more for a water fountain and cannot compare this nicely made fairy Maiden to other purchases here in Connecticut. Now, if I was to be ask, where did you purchase this beautiful water fountain? would I tell them? just kidding, lol. Best purchase I have ever made. You will love it too!

very nice, not very heavy, which is good and bad. Easy to move and put together but maybe not as stable if a dog or child leaps on it. the pump included is actually a little strong for the fountain. I am looking for a less powerful pump! It appears that some of the paint on the inside of the bowl is starting to peel off, will see how it does in time. But it seems like a good deal for the price.
