Awesome product and very sharp
I get a compliment on this knife at least once a week. It is sharp, stylish and super cool looking. When taking this knife out you know you mean business. Whether it is to cut open a box, slice up some rope, to fine cutting like using an x-acto knife or cutting boxes down to size, this knife does it all. Has a great look that can be laser engraved for gifts or personalize it for your own tastes or to let your friends know this is your knife with a "Property of _______" placed on it. I like that it is also a lock back knife because I have had knives in the past that are frame lock or liner lock and that mechanism has failed and I got cut. It snaps into place and you know it will stay open until you release the lock and since it is so sturdy it makes you use both hands to close it so you do not run the risk of cutting yourself. Can be deployed quickly with gripping the hole on the blade and snapping downward with some force for one handed opening if needed. Can also be carried blade up or down left or right pocket because the pocket clip is removable and there are pre-installed holes for relocation or looks good completely devoid of pocket clip. I would but again and again and again. Very easy to sharpen with Accusharp knife sharpener as well, which made it sharper than I received which I didn't think was possible.***UPDATE***Two years later and I am still using this knife as my EDC. I love the look of this knife and it holds an edge well. Sharpening is not difficult for me. The belt clip is loose but I actually like it a little loose compared to tight. The lockback mechanism works flawlessly and this knife still gets a lot of attention when I bring it out. If you want a more discrete knife I would look for a smaller knife as this thing is sized for large hands and work. Still a great knife at a great price.

Excellent knife, great bargain, highly recommended.
This was my first hawkbill style knife, and I am thoroughly satisfied with my purchase. It has since become my favorite EDC knife.Pros:+ Came nearly razor sharp, I have done nothing but strop it occasionally and is still just as sharp as it came out of the box. I've whittled with it a little as well and the edge still holds up perfectly.+ Easily modifiable pocket clip that slips onto things smoothly.+ Very sturdy design. The knife is a little on the heavy side for a pocket knife, but it's built like a tank. I'm very confident in the Boye dent lock and I can't picture anything breaking, corroding, or deforming any time soon due to the all solid stainless steel construction.+ The hawkbill-styled blade allows for very powerful slicing and penetration. It goes through just about everything like butter, and the fine tip makes opening packages a breeze.+ The handle shape is comfortable, and it has two finger grooves which work well enough for preventing slipping. My hands are fairly small, but I find it very comfortable to hold, so your mileage may vary.Cons:- The lock and blade action were very stiff at first, but loosened up after lubricating it and repeatedly opening and closing it for a few days, now I can easily open and close it with one hand.- Having untextured stainless steel handle scales, the knife can be a slight pain to use it it's cold out or your hands are wet, but I think this should be obvious and you could try to get your hands on the discontinued G10 version if it really bothers you. Personally, I haven't had any issues with it so far.None of these cons are too major, and in my opinion, I think this knife is still worth a try simply because it has all of the quality of much more expensive knives, with the cost of a cheapo Chinese knife.

Excellent and cool hawkbill for the price
I've owned this now for a bit, and I'll start right off by saying this is not only a very unique, cool and functional knife, but built quite nicely especially for its price range. I would easily compare it to its Spyderco counterpart but please know I wouldn't put it on the same level quality wise - still nice. For the twenty something price it's a definite bargain.Pro's:- Very sharp out of the box. Not only the blade edge but also the tip you could pierce through a good part of the surface of a side of beef and easily finish the cutting of a steak by pulling the edge across- Also easy to sharpen, and for its blade steel holds an edge acceptably- A very nice/cool looking piece of knife/art to appreciate in your collection or display and play with friends, again especially at this price range- This could be a pro or a con, but it is pretty large re: EDC - I list this also in the pro's because that also gets a job done in some casesCon's:- The biggest con is the opening. Dear mamma lucia it would have been a perfect hawkbill if they would have made the opening with one thumb easier... just move the opening a bit more forward or something!, but man it would be soooo freakin nice to just pull this thing out and just flick it open like a nice xxx brand... ugh! Anyway off my soapbox but man that would make this such a perfect knife- Again it's pretty large and heavy but that's not a pro or con just an fyi for what you're looking forIn the end again this is definitely a bargain buy and very cool / quality knife for the price I have enjoyed thoroughly. Great one for a collection or special use.

Really, really impressed TBH!
I've been collecting knives for a couple of years now. Not quite sure how my new hobby evolved from a couple of late night and slightly intoxicated all-to-easy Amazon purchases into an almost serious "hobby". I don't spend a lot of money on my new and slightly unplanned obsession if I can possibly help it. However, this knife caught my eye one late one eve and I decided to purchase it.It arrive a couple of days later and lo and behold (pause for dramatic effect...) it's a very nice knife. Well made. Nice and solid locking mechanism. Surprising effective curve to the blade (i.e. well good at cutting stuff). I am left handed and have moved the belt clip to the other side of the handle to accommodate my specialness. This requires a slightly unusual screwdriver but is otherwise a perfect solution for us lefties. I got the weird screwdriver from Maplin for a few quid. I think it may be a T5 size.Long story short... if you like the look of it then BUY IT. It very much doubt you will be disappointed.

Great Spyderco Knife
Great looking robust knife, sharp and quality as expected from spyderco.Made in China. The only con was the box: it has been open/damaged and it has been wrapped with some tape to close it back. Usually items with damaged boxing go for a cheaper price in amazon warehouse deals.....
