Product Description Premium Half Check Collar, continuously adjustable tape leash with stop. Half check collars are also known as martingale or combination/combi collars. They are preferred by some owners of heavy coated dogs because it is felt that this collar does not break up and mark the neck coat as much as a standard flat collar. These collars are also sometimes preferred for safety by the owners of narrow headed dogs such as sight hounds or rough collies, especially those who may panic, put on the brakes, quickly back out of their flat collar. They should be fitted so that when tightened the two rings actually meet around the dog's neck, with sufficient space for two fingers to be slipped against the neck, under the collar in exactly the same way as a flat collar would be fitted. This collar is strong, has scope for adjustment and good quality
This collar seems really well made, with considerable scope for adjustment. It arrived quickly and was well packaged.I have two young Labradors and use the collar for training sessions. I am not in favour of choke collars and this style avoids a harsh choke as it can be adjusted easily. The collar is proving robust, while being relatively kind on their necks. A useful training resource .Thank you

Good value for money!
Perfect for my 3 big golden retrievers who are bigger size than most golden retrievers. I got X large size and they fit lovely.

Quality of metal plating not good
I bought two of these for my Golden Retrievers. They are good quality but the metal is discolouring the dogs' fur, turning it blueish black, hence 3 stars.

Was great.. till the metal chain snapped on a walk after 2 months.
Luckily my dog is a good boy and did not run off :) Was not great that it was the metal chain that snapped not the material/metal section. Would be great if it was replaced as it was faulty.
