Don’t Hesitate!
I’m loving this sandwich grill. If I could give it ten stars I would and I’m not even a big fan or eater of sandwiches.I found myself with four teenagers staying with me for the summer, did a little research and ordered this grill, so of course I had to test it out first and be the guinea pig. Wow, was I surprised at how delicious the sandwiches came out (and I mean plural, that’s how good they were). The handle is shorter than some but for a kitchen gas stove it was perfect, any longer and I would have worried about it tilting over but it’s perfectly weighted and there was no chance of that.I tried one minute on each side with medium heat but that wasn’t enough. Two minutes on each side is perfect.I also discovered that using mayonnaise instead of butter on the outside parts of the bread to lay down on the grill instead of butter was easier than waiting for butter to soften and I already had it out anyway on the counter. For my second sandwich I got more creative (I was on a roll!) and put tuna fish salad in between the cheese lined bread for tuna melt. The grill was easy to clean. I didn’t need to disassemble it but simply wiped it with a soapy sponge and then a clean sponge before wiping it dry. Takes a minute or two.The grill is aluminum with a fluorine coating, is made in China but shipped from Amazon Japan, so I received it super fast.

The best panini press
So easy to use and clean! My husband actually prefers this over the big & bulky electronic panini press. The only downside is that it can only fit regular sized loaves. But we still love it nonetheless!

Grills ok
It works and does what it's supposed to do. I just made my son a grilled ham and cheese sandwich. I buttered the bread instead of trying to melt butter on the grill. I did use high heat but kept checking and flipping. It put nice grill marks on the bread and also the melted butter made it crispy as if cooking in a skillet. I did not use the slide-on clamp. I just closed it and left it slightly open. I am going to just wash this connected. Save your sanity and do not separate them to clean or for any reason. Seriously, I was about to ship it back because after I separated them, it was extremely difficult to get it latched back together. The grill plates are shallow so don't try to make a thick sandwich. It would be nice if it had a floating plate to accommodate thicker sandwiches to make paninis. It's not much different than using a skillet except you get some grill marks. The company needs to make one that is deeper and can float the top AND easy to detach to clean. I removed one star because of the words I had to use while trying to put it back together.

What does saku saku mean again?
I got my saku saku a while ago and I went on a sandwich craze afterwards. This is coming from a person who hates sandwiches due to how "bland" they feel, but after toasting 'em using this sucker? THEY'RE GREAT! I love this thing! It works exactly as how it's described, it grills your sandwich to a nice crispiness on the outside. I opted to buy something like this instead of a George Foreman panini press because 1. I don't have the counter space and 2. I don't want to deal with cleaning a panini press. If you buy this at least you can stow it away in a drawer more easily, and it's easy to clean! Literally just rinse it and you're done (unless you made a gooey sandwich). My only warning is that this thing gets deceptively faster at grilling your sandwiches so if you make more than one sandwich at a time your second sandwich is going to grill A LOT quicker than your first. Don't leave your consecutive sandwich(es) in there past a minute or two or you'll char them (I'm not kidding, your saku saku will literally smoke).
